★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update: The new location is gorgeous! There’s triple the amount of equipment now since the gym has relocated to a larger space. The number of classes each week are endless!I've been to one class so far and it pushed me in all of the right ways. Mia was my Coach and she's super friendly. She greeted me and gave me a nice chat before class since I arrived early. She also gave me a quick lesson, pre-class, on their Assault Treadmills which I really appreciated. During class, she gave me amazing corrections on my form and even hustled to switch out my weights mid class. I'll be going back each week(or close to it) until my race! Thank you, Mia for an amazing class and Thank you, Matt for creating Flex DC!
August 17 · Kimberly KirbyUnfortunately had a terrible experience with Matt Moosavian as an online coach. It started off with him convincing me that all of his clients do “6 months” worth of coaching, when I only wanted to start with 3… But I wanted to take the next step in my performance so I committed the extra money. After initially sending me 48 days worth of training sessions via the Method training app, I never heard from him again. The 48 days of workouts ended last week, and I haven’t received a call/ text back from Matt (see attached photos). In fact, he has stonewalled me ever since I sent the payment for his “coaching”- zero returned texts or calls. I doubt I receive any more workouts (basically I received 48 days worth of workouts when I paid him for 6 months worth… he never explained the workout routines and mileage buildup). I witnessed his performance on instagram, and thought he’d be a good person to work with and lead me to better performance. It is a disappointment that he conned me out of money and never held up his end of the agreement. I do not like posting negative reviews, but if Matt Moosavian has the audacity to blow me off after I paid him to be an online coach, I very much am willing to share my truthful experience with him. I recommend not giving this person a dime, and finding a coach that has integrity in themselves.
April 05 · tom vinsonAwesome family owned and operated gym with great coaches. A true DC small business that has quickly expanded from one location to 5. At times can be a bit slow to respond to customer service requests but the owner always gets back to you and makes things right. Needed a refund for a pause membership request that wasn’t processed in time and it took a bit longer than expected to get a response but the owner made sure everything was made right in the end and all refunds were processed. All of the equipment you need for a great strength and conditioning workout, and a great lineup of classes to prep for races and HYROX.
February 01 · Matthew ArringtonCannot express how glad I am to have chosen this facility. It’s in an old fire house which has a great look. In addition, all the equipment is new and very clean. Towels are provided and cubby’s are available for items. Matt drives a positive attitude and pushes you just to get the best work out you can get. Flex has a range of multiple classes as well as a separate open gym area. This is a great up and coming gym in the area.
July 30 · Abraham MendozaI’ve been with FLEX for a little over a year and have been so impressed both with the ways my body has changed through the workouts and also the community I have built through the gym. The coaches really push you while also being super approachable. The MXT and MXT+ classes are primarily strength and conditioning, high intensity workouts, which are great for training for Hyrox or to complement a running training plan. Facilities are also great with recovery room on site (compression boots, massage guns, sauna, and cold plunge). Definitely check it out if you are looking for a challenging workout with good natured people.
