★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'm just getting restarted in a fitness routine after a couple years off due to health issues. I thought I'd try the pilates free trial class. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the low impact exercise, and core strenthening fit perfect with my recovery. I was a little hesitant with the three month commitment but ultimately decided that wasn't that long if i'm really committed to my recovery and physical improvement. I believe joining Grandville Pilates was the best move I could have made in my fitness journey. The facility is imaculet. The staff from the manager, front desk, and instructors are all very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I recommend the club and my daughter is also taking pilates classes now. I've worked out most of my life but have never gotten the compliments like I do now! I've gone to more than 60 classes so far, every class pushes me harder and improves my fitness.
August 11 · Dan GasiorI enjoyed the classes but did not have time to continue. I asked to cancel my membership and they said I had a 3 month commitment, so I paid for 3 months and did not even attend any classes. When the 4th month came around I asked to cancel and they still charged me and said they would issue a refund, but they never did. Now they are avoiding my calls and I have not been able to get ahold of anyone.
June 08 · Kailah TanI joined the trial membership when the club opened and pilates just wasn't for me. That's not the reason for the bad review though. The trainers were nice and the front desk staff was friendly. My one star review comes from the fact that I canceled the membership but still got billed. I have called on four occasions now and have left messages both on the machine and with workers about this error. They said a manager would contact me. It's been a week now since I was billed and no one has gotten back to me.
December 15 · Anne FriedliI’ve had the same experience as the last 2 reviews. I canceled my trial membership, but kept getting billed. I’ve called several times and been told they will text me the form to cancel my membership. The only reason I canceled was due to a family emergency. I was told the manager would be giving me a call but never heard from them. The trainers were great and I really enjoyed the workout. I even considered joining again, but this hasn’t been the best experience.
December 20 · stephanie decotOverall, the place is clean, with friendly staff and great classes. Unfortunately, my review is based more on Club Pilates' business model and why I ultimately canceled my membership. The monthly membership is pricey, however, you know that when signing up. Its the waitlisting and cancellation policy that can make the monthly amount much more. Ensure you are diligent in attending every class you sign up for, cancel before the 12-hour mark if needed, and if you are waitlisted, plan on still attending class as it is likely you will get in (even last minute).Pros:1. Trainers are great and keep the classes entertaining!2. The staff are friendly3. Wide variety of classes offered, by trying different ones you get an idea of which you like best.Cons:1. The monthly membership is difficult to cancel.2. I've called the phone number listed online many times and get no answer. It took two weeks to connect with someone to cancel my membership (ended up texting the number that I signed up through). You must give a 30-day notice, that clock starts when you actually connect with someone. Recommend they allow members to cancel online because of this.3. If you cancel your class within 12 hours of start time OR you do not show up to your class time, you will be charged a $15 cancelation fee.4. Classes fill up so you need to schedule out a few weeks at a time. No big deal. If a class is full you will be waitlisted. This is where it can get tricky. If someone cancels an hour before class and you are next in line you are scheduled into that class. You must attend to not get charged the cancellation fee.
