Located at 93 W Campbell Rd, this gym is a stark and welcome contrast to the large, generic commercial fitness centers. As one enthusiastic reviewer describes it, this is a "Weightlifters Paradise." Big 3 Barbell is not about cardio machines and flashy lights; it is a dedicated training facility built with one purpose in mind: to provide the best possible environment for powerlifters, bodybuilders, and anyone who is serious about lifting heavy. March 26 · Pierre SandaireI've been going here since they opened, and I never looked back at leaving the commercial gym I was going to. The equipment is top notch, sturdy, and well maintained. You never run out of weights, have to fight bench sitters for a spot, and can actually focus on your workout.Sam, Sam, and Hailey make the gym feel like a family atmosphere, with the Sams always ready to talk about anything fitness related, and they come with real world experience in bodybuilding and power lifting. They actually know what they are doing, have done it, and have now provided a true place for others to pursue their fitness dreams, whether its to be on stage competing, out lifting your competition, or just picking up heavy things to better yourself. The supplement store has a full line of pretty much every supplement you could need, at very reasonable prices. The gym itself fosters an environment of physical fitness. No frills, no gimmicks, just great equipment with tons of plates and a roster of like minded individuals who all want to see everybody grow and succeed. Its definitely worth the day pass, which I'm certain will turn into a membership once you get a workout in
January 21 · Chris McCabeI joined Big 3 Barbell about 2 months ago after feeling very stale and stagnant at another local gym, and with my workout routine. That changed pretty quickly after joining Big 3. If I could, I would give this place 10 stars. For starters, Sam and Sam are both incredibly knowledgeable and are willing to share that knowledge and their experience with anyone in the gym. I'm new to powerlifting, and probably ask Sam a question every time I'm there. He has shared tips, tricks, and is around for a spot if needed. The other members are all great people who enjoy lifting heavy weight and putting in the work; That in itself will motivate you.The experience and dedication Sam and Sam have is very apparent in the gym setup and equipment. The gym is "no frills" in the sense that you won't find a sauna, tanning salon, or group fitness room. What you will find is high quality barbells, combo bench/squat racks, deadlift platforms, and a great array of other equipment including dumbbells well over 100 lbs, and a ton of calibrated plates. Much of the equipment is made custom and you can tell by the fine details, everything moves very smooth. The music is always on point, and is available for members to set during off hours (24 hour access is sweet).I love having access to an in facility supplement and nutrition shop, saves me time when I run out and need something same day. They also have cold drinks and some solid apparel. If you're considering a new gym, feeling stuck in your current setting/routine, or are interested in powerlifting I would definitely encourage ya'll to spend the money on a day pass and check it out, might just find yourself in a place that pushes you through all your plateaus.
January 22 · Glenn PhillipsAwesome gym in a great spot! The custom equipment is solid, the plates are calibrated, and the music is always on point. It’s family-owned, which gives it a really nice vibe. The supplement store attached is a bonus too—good quality stuff at great prices, and the 10% off for members is a sweet perk. Definitely supporting local here—this is my new gym for sure
November 16 · Joe AOne of the best gyms I’ve been to in the area. Brand-new custom equipment. 24 hour access. The Sam’s are great people and super knowledgeable about lifting. And there are day passes available!
