[solidcore] West 57th Introduce
Welcome to West 57th, a fitness destination that is far more than your average gym. This studio specializes in a 50-minute, high-intensity, low-impact strength training workout on a custom-built reformer machine called “Sweatlana.” The core philosophy is to push your muscles to the point of failure through slow and controlled movements, a process scientifically designed to break down your muscle fibers so they can rebuild stronger. The immersive experience, complete with dim blue lights and loud, motivating music, helps you focus inward and achieve a level of intensity you didn’t know was possible.
The atmosphere at West 57th is what truly sets it apart. It’s a community-driven space with a vibe that is "so welcoming, fun, and grounded," as one reviewer noted, contrasting it with the "stuffiness" found at other studios. The coaching team is the heart of this positive energy, creating an environment that is both challenging and supportive. Instructors are known for their hands-on adjustments, encouraging words, and ability to tailor the workout to individual needs. This personalized approach ensures you maintain proper form and get the most out of every class while minimizing the risk of injury. It is a space where every shake and burn is a sign of progress, and where you'll be celebrated for showing up and pushing your limits.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Highly recommend taking a class from Ian S. if you can. He is a certified personal trainer (most Solidcore instructors are not), and his emphasis on correct form is unmatched. I’ve taken similar workout classes where I felt like unsafe in that my form wasn’t being monitored. Solidcore is intense, and if you don’t do it properly, you risk hurting yourself - particularly your back. Ian took the time to write down each of our names personally at the start of class, visiting us at each of our reformers and asking us about our body, injuries, or anything else he needed to be aware of. Throughout class, he was great about adjusting alignment and addressing each of us by our names. Awesome experience.
July 22 · Katherine Burns⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Absolutely love the coaching team at Solidcore - and this studio in particular has something really special.Olivia always puts so much thought into her programming - her classes have the most variety of any instructor I’ve taken. She’s kind and encouraging, and makes every session feel intentional and motivating. I want Olivia every day!!!!Ian has amazing core series that burn, and his hands-on adjustments help you push safely and effectively. I’m addicted to Ian - can he teach more weekday 7/8am classes at W 57? I can’t make the weekday 11am/noon.Liz brings the heat with her lower body sequences - I’m always sore (in a good way!) the next day. Also love Marielle!!! Marielle’s positive energy, cheerful vibe, and quick wit make her classes fly by in what feels like minutes. On top of that, Manager Geena has created a vibe here that’s so welcoming, fun, and grounded. It’s totally different from other studios (looking at you, UES) - no stuffiness here, just good energy and great people. So grateful for this space and this team!!!
August 10 · Gongzhu ElaOne of the most challenging yet rewarding workouts on the market. Devoting at least 20 minutes of the 50m class to obliques/center core, Solidcore is a fantastic workout for cross-training, physical therapy, or as a primary fitness routine. The studio is clean and well-managed and the coaches are extremely knowledgeable while bringing the party. If you haven’t tried a class, they usually offer new client deals, like a buy-one get-one or 2 week unlimited, so give it a try!
February 21 · Madeleine GilmerWest 57th Solidcore isn’t just a workout—it’s an experience. The energy in this studio is unmatched, from the moment you walk in to the final rep on the machine. The community is so strong, and the clients bring their A-game every single class. Coaching here pushes me to be my best, and I love seeing people challenge themselves and get stronger every day. If you haven’t taken a class here yet, you’re missing out!
February 21 · Olivia TarchickThis is easily one of the hardest and best workouts I have ever been to. The instructors have all been so amazing so far despite my newness to Solidcore. They really push you to go beyond your limits and “fail” but also respect your boundaries to the point where you can adjust as needed. I never feel I was pushed too aggressively but definitely felt motivated to show myself I can keep going.I’m honestly so shocked at these 1 star reviews due to the company wide cancellation policy? It is written out when you book the class and that’s that. Life definitely happens but just understand that they’re not trying to scam you out of money. Just how the business works!I highly suggest this studio - so clean and perfectly sized. It never feels too crowded.
