February 28 · D EI began taking Pilates from Jeanne around 1 1/2 years ago. At that time, I was non-weight bearing due to a bad hip injury and was getting around via wheelchair or crutches. I wanted to continue working out during my recovery, and my orthopedist suggested that private Pilates reformer classes would be a good addition to my healing process. With the help of Jeanne, I was able to maintain movement and some level of fitness while I was off my feet. I have since recovered, continue to take classes from Jeanne, and have found that Pilates has been a perfect complement to my other workouts of yoga and weightlifting. I can’t recommend Jeanne as an instructor enough. She tailors classes for your individual needs, and I consider her instruction and teaching to have been a big part of my recovery.

I also consider it an essential part of my prehab/injury prevention routine. As someone who seemed to suffer from sports injury after sports injury, it has been so wonderful to remain injury-free thanks to a regular Pilates practice.
