Are you a resident of Mesa, Arizona, looking for a new and exciting way to achieve your fitness goals? Look no further than Orangetheory Fitness. This popular fitness studio has made a name for itself by offering a unique and scientifically-backed approach to working out. Unlike traditional gyms where you might feel lost and unsure of what to do, Orangetheory provides a structured and supportive environment designed to maximize your results. It's more than just a place to lift weights; it's a community dedicated to helping you become the best version of yourself. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, the personalized coaching, advanced technology, and vibrant community at Orangetheory Fitness will keep you motivated and engaged. This comprehensive guide will walk you through everything you need to know about this local gem, from its convenient location to the specifics of its one-of-a-kind workout.
The core concept of Orangetheory is based on Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption, or EPOC. Each 60-minute class is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session split into three main components: treadmill, rowing, and strength training. The goal is to spend 12 or more minutes in the "Orange Zone," which is 84-91% of your maximum heart rate. This triggers EPOC, meaning your body continues to burn calories at an accelerated rate for up to 36 hours after your workout. This data-driven approach is what sets Orangetheory apart. You wear a heart rate monitor throughout the class, and your performance is displayed on screens in the studio. This real-time feedback allows you to track your progress and ensure you're working at the right intensity. It’s a workout that is both challenging and rewarding, pushing you to your limits while ensuring you're doing so in a smart and effective way. The workout changes daily, so you'll never experience the same class twice, keeping things fresh and preventing plateaus. This variety is a huge plus for those who get bored with repetitive workout routines.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love my OTF Dana park people! From the coaches to the front desk staff, they make it easy to get my late workout done. The studio with the latest class gives me the opportunity to get to it! There is a group of us that takes the 6:45 pm class consistently, and we have so much fun pushing each other to run faster or lift heavier.
November 19 · CAM CAMLove this place so much for the first time. So funny story so 5 minutes before my class, I left my keys in the car. They had a long ruler that helped me to get my keys. The staff was sweet, welcoming and didn't look annoyed when you spoke to them (like some gym's) I took a free class with Veronica on Saturday and it was excellent. I like Orange Theory because it's more intimate then Planet Fitness and the exercises they have you doing is great and I was sore the next day. Everything inside was new and advanced in tech and clean. I would recommend it to anyone and they currently have a promo for $89 a month and it's worth it. They didn't pressure you or spiel you to death about joining and I loved that even more. There was an older Young Lady there and she in my opinion was best in class so it's for 21 and up but worth it.
August 30 · Valencia FergusonCoach V is amazing! If you have a busy schedule I would recommend sticking to a regular gym where you can go at any time and won't be hit with a penalty if you cancel a class.
October 16 · Izzy MorenoI am very sorry to hear that Dylan is moving from AZ. He is one of my favorite coaches. He brings great energy to the gym and makes me want to put more effort into my workouts. I also appreciate him making sure that I use proper form in class and avoid injury. And his music sets are 🔥.
November 21 · Paul SvancaraGreat gym, great staff, great community! I’ve been coming to this Orangetheory Theory for over a year and love it. The coaches and staff always go out of there way to make member feel welcome and appreciated. The workouts are tough, but you set the pace. Like it so much I even started bringing my wife.
