What is Worth Choosing
For anyone in California, particularly those in the Bay Area, moveSF is the standout choice for several compelling reasons that extend beyond a standard gym membership.
First and foremost is the culture. In a city where finding your community can be challenging, moveSF offers a rare and genuine sense of belonging. The club’s explicit identity as a Black-owned, LGBTQ+-friendly, and Transgender safespace means you are choosing a business that actively invests in creating an equitable and welcoming environment. This translates to an experience that is consistently described by members as having a "kindest and most helpful" family vibe, making it an ideal place for individuals who value community, respect, and diversity alongside their fitness goals.
Second is the quality of the training. Unlike crowded, big-box gyms, moveSF specializes in focused Small Group Fitness. This model ensures that every participant receives the attention, form correction, and personalized encouragement necessary for effective and safe progress. You benefit from the energy of a group class while still getting the individualized support of a professional Personal trainer. The classes are fun, involved, and designed by experts to yield maximum results, whether you choose a Strength Training-heavy Sculpt class or a high-energy Mashup with HIIT.
If your goal is to achieve true, sustainable strength in an environment that celebrates you exactly as you are, moveSF is not just a gym—it is the best investment you can make in your physical and mental well-being in San Francisco.

July 30 · Michael EspositoThis is the best place to build a workout routine that sticks! The instructors are wonderful and inviting - they keep your fitness level in mind and modify exercises whenever necessary. The workouts are intense and effective - a variety of workouts are offered throughout the week, even weekends. I have attended classes by Matt, Justin and Nina and they are all amazing. Bonus love for Matt's pet dogs :)
