★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Joining this gym has greatly improved my commitment to fitness and mental health. It’s clean, people are respectful of your space, and there is more than enough equipment to get a solid workout in.Wolff is an excellent personal trainer. His coaching has helped me level up my strength training routine. I appreciate his knowledge, positive attitude, and consistent communication. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer.Cliff, the front desk staff, and management really care about their members. Everyone is cool/normal and eager to build community. For example, they pass out free popsicles on hot days at the pool.Speaking of the pool, Q is an awesome life guard, and the entire bar & cook staff is friendly. I talk to other members on pool days and have made some new friends. The fact that I joined three months ago and know so many staff members & regulars by name speaks to the awesome culture of this location. It’s nice belonging to an excellent gym in terms of personal training, equipment, cleanliness, classes, etc. where people are also kind.I am so happy with my membership. Thank you for reminding me that decent customer service really does still exist.
July 01 · Jocelyn KantorThe gym is cool, but more often than not the AC is off. It’s pretty odd, on more than a few occasions I’ve had to go to the front desk and request they turn on the AC and fans. Being cheap while running a gym should honestly be studied, lol
August 18 · Ember LatiseeThis is my primary gym and I pay $60 a month for it. So far I've really enjoyed my experience here mainly because it has everything I need and is open 24/7 which is a beautiful thing. I work at the hospital and my hours very unstable so being able to go to the gym at any moment of the day makes things very convinient for my very inconvenient schedule. If you go through my pictures I've hit basically every question I had was checking it out. There's also a pool but it's outdoor so it's closed for the season and will reopen in the summer. Contract lasts a year from sign up so if you want to break it before the year you'll pay a hefty fee. Also you have to mail or come in to cancel so take that into account. If you have no intentions of moving out of Maryland within a year it's worth the investment. Hope this helps!
October 28 · Adam FelibricoI joined a few months ago and have been happy with all aspects of the facility. Equipment is modern, plentiful, and clean. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Personal training was helpful in getting a baseline fitness level, introduction to the equipment, and a strength training plan.
February 07 · Mitch ObradovicThis gym (Merritt- E. Fort Ave.) is absolutely amazing!!!! The staff, the managers and the trainers are phenomenal! They are caring, patient, enthusiastic, and professional. The manager, Bruce is receptive, energetic, and listens to his customers opinions and inputs and has always followed through with requests. I love the fact that everyone is accepted without judgement. This is simply not an easy find in the workout world today. In addition the manager has outings and involves the clients- a first for me to have a perk at a gym being included on outings with staff and clients. That in itself is phenomenal! I’ve been a member at severalllll gyms and have never felt more welcomed than I do at this gym. The personal trainer, Kewena, I believe they call her KK is out of this world. She has worked magic with me🥰I call her Magic Trainer. For instance, besides getting healthy, I also had this horrible hip and knee pain from doing sports when I was young so much that I couldn’t sleep and thought I was going to need medical attention. It’s been off and on. I finally mentioned it to KK and she said let’s try something different. Well, after my last session (stretch as she put it - another word for mild workout 😍)the pain has totallyyyyyyyyy subsided. It’s like what in the world. I’m now able to lie and sit comfortably without that intense dull pain. It’s truly amazing!!!!! I also want to include how kind and friendly Kim and Wolf are as well. Fort Avve. Merritt Rocks!!!! I would give 10 stars ⭐️ if I could.
