There’s a great variety of classes and equipment for all fitness levels. But what really makes the difference is the staff they are truly outstanding. From the front desk team to the personal trainers and class instructors, everyone is friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to helping members reach their goals. You can tell they care about the community they’ve
August 07 · Aline BarcelosThe Leonard & Marjorie Williams Family YMCA has been a game-changer for our family, offering a welcoming space for fitness and community connection. My son and I have been working with Jacky, an exceptional personal trainer who truly elevates our experience. His deep knowledge of stretching and strength training, combined with his keen attention to our individual needs, makes every session productive and enjoyable. Jacky’s genuine care for our progress keeps us motivated and coming back for more.Beyond personal training, I love doing laps in the pool—a refreshing way to stay active. During the summer, the YMCA buzzes with energy, especially from young people who bring the facility to life. It’s inspiring to see the community come together, with kids and families making the most of this incredible resource. The YMCA isn’t just a gym; it’s a hub of activity and opportunity that I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to stay fit and connected.
July 10 · Nathan ChittyFANTABULOUSLY fabulous - we just had the best time here from the elders down to the little babies 18 months old for the family day and it was just really really wonderful and they are doing an amazing job here from the director down to all the staff and helpers
August 23 · CoCo HutchisonFirst of all, this is a clean and well maintained facility. The equipment and everything is all top notch. Staff is welcoming. But there are some issues. The pool/splash pad schedule is all over the place. We got an email just a week ago that the splash pad is 1-4 on Sunday… we get there and it’s 12-3. Anyone with little kids will tell you packing up to get to the splash pad for 20 minutes isn’t fun.The gym only has 4 squat racks with one being on a platform. Only a handful of benches as well. The Y costs more than your average gym and while they do offer more amenities, there is a lack of benches and racks. The hours on the weekend aren’t friendly either - the Y downtown is open a little later. The hours on Sunday almost make it impossible to use or enjoy the facility. Why is the splash pad open at 7:30am during the week but closes so early on the weekends - aka times when little kids can actually use it?
August 04 · John DI absolutely love going to the silver sneakers classes with Jacky as our instructor. He is so delightful & has such a great personality. He understands our needs to improve our health & makes it so enjoyable to be in his class. I am so glad that we now have 4 classes a week for different parts of our body and he just really makes it fun and yet we really get a GREAT workout. He will always put a smile on your face and selects good music to work out.
