★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Laughing River Yoga is a beautiful and welcoming space to build community. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training here, and during the months I spent in the program, I formed truly meaningful connections, some of the best friendships I’ve ever had. Beyond yoga, I received support in areas of my life like career, relationships, and spirituality. The teachers at LRY are kind, generous, and grounded. They each bring a strong and gentle presence to their teaching, which creates a space that feels safe, inspiring, and deeply nourishing. The program itself was well-structured, with a thoughtful balance between practice and theory. I especially enjoyed learning about the history and philosophy of yoga with Sofi Dillof. She is deeply knowledgeable and knows how to keep students engaged. Lucy D’Aponte brought such kindness and patience to the anatomy portion; she has a real gift for making the material accessible and less intimidating.Emily Garrett is someone you can’t help but look up to. She is firm and gentle at the same time, an incredible teacher who makes the room feel safe and welcoming. Her presence helped me feel more capable, more at ease, and more willing to take up space and speak my truth.I highly recommend doing your YTT with Laughing River Yoga. It was a beautiful, transformative experience that I will always carry with me.
July 30 · Daniela AriasI have been coming to this studio for years (when I'm living in the US). I love this space. The studio is right on the Winooski River and in the summer, the windows are open and sometimes you can even hear the nearby falls. as for the instructors they are great and there is a nice variety of regular and special classes offered at reasonable rates. There are no joining fees and pressure to buy any of the multiple class pass options. There are also a number of classes available online. In addition, this site also has special incentives and offerings for the BIPOC community. First class is free, and I highly recommend checking it out.
August 25 · Danielle LittleLRY is a very special place in Burlington, Vermont! When I found out that Emily had trained in somatic work, I had no doubt that it was the right place for me to do my 200 YTT. As I started my training and getting to know the community, I was pleased to learn that members of the LRY community are all passionate about their yoga journey, many continuously going to India for training, and many traveling the world offering their gifts. I'm doing the TEP program led by Christina, someone I witness embodying sacredness in her yoga practice. LRY is a very special place, with a very special community, welcoming everyone and it's been an honor to be learning with them and strengthening my yoga journey. Thanks LRY!!!
