The Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center is known for several features and highlights that are important for local families to consider. The facility is recognized as being "Good for kids," offering a structured and supportive environment for athletic development. A review noted that the classes were "great and interactive" and that the instructor was "energetic and welcoming," which are key qualities for youth programs. The presence of "many tools to play with" also suggests a well-equipped and engaging space. However, it is also important to consider all available feedback. Some customers have expressed concerns regarding the gym's atmosphere and its inclusivity. One customer noted a feeling of a "densed" atmosphere and a lack of diversity. Another parent felt that the cheer program was not as inclusive as emphasized and that staff could be more open to conversations about cultural differences. There was also feedback about some parents making toddler classes feel like a "competition."
These points of feedback, while critical, provide a more complete picture of the facility and are important for any family to consider. It demonstrates that while the athletic training may be top-notch, the social and cultural environment is a factor that some customers have found to be a point of concern.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We started here when my daughter turned 2. We were on the waiting list for a few months. We finally got approved in Sept, and started October. By the end of November, I dropped out of the class.Pos: The classes were great and interactive, there are many tools to play with, kids learn fast, the instructor is energetic and welcoming. My daughter enjoyed going there and looked forward to it every week. It was only 7 minutes away from home.Neg: I did not feel that this facility was inviting enough or diversed enough. Some evenings, my daughter would be the only child of color and the atmosphere was very densed. I remember seeing more than 6 kids in my daughter's class at the start in October but after one month, it was just her and a new kid. My daughter wanted to play and make friends, but it seemed as if the parents were paying more than I was for their toddlers to compete with Simon Biles. The instructor was nice but one particular parent would redirect his daughter whenever my daughter came close to her and would make it seem like this was a competition rather than toddlers playing so they can have a good night sleep. We probably did a few sessions and left after Christmas because I didn't feel comfortable.
July 03 · Marimar LaBelleThe cheer program is not as inclusive as they emphasized. They could be more understanding and knowledgeable of the importance of individuals and their cultural heritage practices. Staff should be more open for conversations and acceptance of cutural differences. In the end my daughter found a gym that is more inclusive and willing to work with her so she can be apart of their cheer family.I hope JPAC can become more inclusive as they emphasize to all individuals and cultures not just "inclusive" to hairstyles.
May 22 · Angie HinesJaycie Phelps is the best!! Great people! Wonderful customer service. Hands down, best place to bring your children. Highly recommend. Ms. Crystal is one of the most amazing humans on this earth. The children and parents love her.
January 28 · Layla TalbertIt's a large facility with lots of classes. Not particularly clean. Not particularly dirty. The waiting area is always packed and smells bad. Whoever is at the front desk has always been nice/polite. My daughter had 3 different teachers while she was there for a little over a year. All were nice enough. The 2nd one she had, she was there during Christmas so we got the teacher a gift. She never said thank you. In the 15-16 months we were there, tuition prices increased 3 times. I get it. Inflation. But I don't think the instruction my daughter was receiving was worth near $190 a month for 2 classes a week, so we left and found a new gym. Whoever handled our exit via email seemed kind of piqued. Very short answers. Not a thank you or a goodbye. While we were there, my daughter did have fun. I do not think she was pushed to do her best or received enough coaching/teaching. I'm sure JPAC is a great fit for many of the hundreds of families that bring their kids there. It's just not the right fit for us.
August 06 · Suejung RheeMy daughter has been on team at JPAC for 6 years now through levels 5-10. She loves everything about it. Kyle, Autumn, Carrie, Dave and Jaycie are amazing and treat these girls as their own family. Gymnastics provides such a wonderful experience for these young girls and I wouldn't want my daughter anywhere else.
