EricoPilates Introduce
For New Yorkers searching for a fitness experience that combines professional expertise with a genuinely enjoyable atmosphere, EricoPilates in the heart of the West Village is a standout choice. In a city where Pilates studios seem to be on every block, finding one that offers a truly transformative and personalized journey can be a challenge. EricoPilates sets itself apart by focusing on the client's individual needs, turning a workout into a "magical journey" of physical improvement and personal growth. This article is designed to provide local New Yorkers with a factual, engaging, and in-depth look at this unique studio, highlighting its services, location, and the tangible results that have earned it a loyal following.
EricoPilates is not just another fitness center; it's a specialized studio run by a master Pilates instructor with over two decades of experience. The studio's philosophy is rooted in the belief that exercise should be a source of joy and accomplishment, not a chore. This approach, as one reviewer noted, makes classes "so much fun, it hardly feels like I’m working." This is a significant distinction in the New York fitness scene, where workouts can often feel rigid and repetitive. Erico's background as a professional dancer and his extensive training in various somatic practices bring a unique and dynamic perspective to his instruction. He is skilled at tailoring exercises to "your body—not a million other bodies," ensuring that every session is both effective and safe.
The testimonials from real customers paint a vivid picture of the studio's impact. One client raved that after just a couple of months, their "body shape had changed" and they felt "noticeably stronger and more flexible." Another, who has taken sessions at numerous studios across the city, declared that Erico is "the best Pilates teacher" they have found, praising his ability to make sessions "actually fun." This feedback underscores a critical point: while many studios offer the same service, EricoPilates provides a superior experience through personalized attention, expert instruction, and a positive, encouraging environment.
The studio’s commitment to a holistic approach is also a major draw. Beyond the traditional Pilates method, Erico incorporates his knowledge of myofascial trigger point release and his background in Gestalt psychotherapy and Reiki to address the body and mind as a whole. This comprehensive approach is what helps clients not only get stronger but also achieve a greater sense of energetic balance and well-being. This is particularly valuable for New Yorkers navigating the daily stresses of city life. The studio offers a sanctuary where you can truly focus on your body's needs and see lasting results.

EricoPilates Reviews
Erico is just THE BEST! Classes are so much fun, it hardly feels like I’m working. He’s fantastic at pacing the exercises to challenge without ever making you feel overwhelmed. And, he gets results! Within a couple of months of working with Erico, friends were telling me my body shape had changed, while I felt noticeably stronger and more flexible. And I know half of Chelsea feels the same way. Erico, thank you so much!! Looking forward to our next class Tuesday 💪😊
February 10 · Chris DixonIn NYC, pilates studios are ubiquitos. They seem to be on every block. However, if are you are looking for the best Pilates teacher - you have found him. For the past twenty years I have taken private, one-on-one Pilates sessions at a bunch of different studios in the city. Some were just close to my apt. Some were because of a recommendation from a friend. The one common thread was that they were ALL are very rigid and just plain boring.Erico's studio is great. This guy knows his stuff with a professional dance background. The sessions are actually fun. How novel! I highly recommended him for beginners and advanced students alike. Great studio. Great guy.
November 14 · Scott MullinsI have been taking pilates @ericopilates studio for several years. Erico is a master teacher. His ballet professional background makes him extremely knowledgeable and brings the experience to a higher level. This is not just any pilates session. Besides, the studio is beautiful. A true Gem in Chelsea.
March 26 · Sue FischenichThere should be more than five stars available for people like Erico. There are so many "Pilates" instructors and classes in NYC, but Erico is unique in very many ways. He is, of course, licensed by the Pilates Institute. Yes, he has the machines (and a myriad of other fitness/stretching toys). A former dancer, he is thoroughly knowledgable about every muscle, tendon, and sinew of the human body. But more important, he knows how to work with YOUR body. He will use his knowledge to develop an exercise routine for your body--not a million other bodies that may come his way. He will work with your strengths and improve your weaknesses using his knowledge to do so. His training is highly individual. As if that's not enough, he is a compassionate, caring person (although NOT in the usual obnoxious way), an animal lover, and so much more. He's pretty special. If you are considering Pilates, you will not find a better practitioner of it here,, in his charming, art-filled Chelsea studio. Go!
April 08 · Rowann GilmanI have been going to Erico for over two years, and he is a phenomenal instructor. He takes the time to work with your schedule and is very dedicated to seeing his clients succeed in their fitness goals!
