★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1These instructors are sooo incredibly passionate! Their love for community has not gone unnoticed. I have personally taken classes and experienced a number of super transformative retreats with many Balance Kent instructors. They’re kind, caring, and offer a safe place to express and learn. I’m truly excited for Balance Kent to open!
November 11 · Jennifer StumpfI’m impressed with Linda and the way she teaches! She’s a machine and I want to be like her! #fitnessgoals. I’ll be signing up for a membership and bringing my friends and boyfriend in for classes with Linda.
May 17 · Inna TI recently tried this hot yoga studio and attended Linda Collies Hot Pilates class. While I understand everyone has different preferences, I found the class lacked a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. The class was half Pilates and half Vinyasa, but the teaching style didn’t create space for improvement. Linda made comments like, “I don’t know what you have going on,” and called out participants without offering constructive feedback. For example, she told someone, “You need to fix your form” demonstrated how they could be flailing, and told the entire class, “No one has a stronger core than me.” Statements like these didn’t feel welcoming or motivating.————————-Reply to the Studios Comment below:Thank you for your response and for offering a complimentary class. I truly appreciate that gesture. I also value your commitment to fostering balance and community within your studio, which are vital aspects of yoga.I want to clarify that my feedback was not meant to diminish the studio or its values. It wasn’t about the pace of the class, or the yin/yang balance. My concern was that Linda’s teaching style didn’t align with the supportive environment and mindfulness that your studio emphasizes. Comments like “I don’t know what you have going on,” and calling out students without offering constructive feedback created an atmosphere that didn’t feel welcoming or aligned with the community-focused approach you promote.I believe that active classes can absolutely maintain a supportive and encouraging environment, which is what I was hoping for. Instructors play an important role in shaping this environment, and their approach should reflect the mindfulness and community values central to your studio’s mission. My feedback is intended as a constructive suggestion on how these values can be better embodied across all classes, regardless of pace or intensity.
December 15 · Betty ChipmanThe environment of this studio is the definition of community! The owners are some of the most genuine people I have ever met and each instructor is absolutely fantastic!I am so glad they chose to pursue their dream of opening a yoga studio and feel grateful to be a part of it!I highly recommend checking this place out!
February 17 · Eric JoinerI am new to yoga, I began my yoga practice when Balance opened and I am beyond grateful that I did. I absolutely love the community that is being created and I love being a part of it. I’m impressed by my ability to sweet! I’m loving the experience. Balance hot yoga is a wonderful inclusive place to learn the practice of yoga or to continue on in your practice if you are not new. I 100% recommended Balance Hot Yoga!
