This variety, combined with the personalized instruction, means that the movements and weights are customized to your body and what you want to achieve, which is a key factor in avoiding injury. The presence of an "awesome chiropractor, right there," adds an extra layer of professional support, creating a holistic approach to your physical well-being. This kind of thoughtful integration of services demonstrates the studio's commitment to the long-term health of its clients, providing a place to truly transform and strengthen your body. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely love the welcoming vibe that they give you at Westla Pilates. They’re extremely capable instructors that really care. I did some privates there and not only did I get to work out on the reformer but they also have chair Cadillac and other equipment too. They offered to help me get a cute selfie on the equipment but I was too shy!I love the plants, lighting, and bonus that There’s a awesome chiropractor, right there!
August 11 · Brittany WorlinskyAmelia, the new owner of West LA Pilates, has been my pilates instructor since 2021. She is very adept at working with any injuries or physical limitations you may have (and still a great instructor even if you don't have any limitations and just want a good workout). If you have never tried private, classical pilates, it is very different from a lot of pilates classes these days. You can go at your own pace and everything from the movements you do to the weight you use on each exercise is customized to your body and what you want to achieve (and much better for avoiding injury). This studio has both reformers and cadillacs (types of Pilates equipment), so you can really do the full range of pilates exercises and this variety means you don't get bored. It's truly a form of exercise that you can do throughout your life. The studio location is very convenient to Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Cheviot, Westwood, and the 10, plus there is a Trader Joe's right across the street!
August 09 · Amy ParkerI've been taking Pilates at West LA Pilates for the past 7 years. The staff is amazing and very easy to work with. The space is very clean and the equipment is top notch. I highly recommend!!
August 10 · Tony MoralesI have been a client of West LA Pilates for over a decade. This private, small studio is women-owned and operated, and the owner and instructors live in our neighborhood. The work is personalized and extremely effective. I prefer this studio over Physical Therapy or personal weight training and the classes are no more then 4 people and the best workout for both long-term health and budget. I am unsure if Patti is still doing one-on-one personal training, but if she is, take advantage and book. If you are an experienced Pilates person (not the corporate Pilates or the fake "workout" kind) you will love this no-nonsense environment. There is disability access and plenty of street parking.
October 12 · Jennifer Precious FinchI started going to West LA Pilates because of upper back pain that was making it difficult for me to do my job. I was amazed at how great I felt just after the first session! Patte, the owner and instructor, really helps me to open up my chest to help relieve my pain and promote better posture. I was always so sore after work that I could barely move by the time I got home. Now I actually have energy to get things done or go out once I’m off. She has helped me tremendously and I am so thankful for her. It’s clear that she has a true passion for what she does and I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking a Pilates instructor!
