May 09 · Kayleen MarieLongtime student so long review incoming—This space oftentimes feels as if it has its own soul. Most of the time I come into the studio with an imaginary swirling tornado of thought bubbles and the moment I step into the space suddenly the clouds all clear and I am able to laser focus in on the cues and the breath work. One of my favorite moments in classes is when we start with a community Om that sounds disjointed with different pitches but when the finishing Om comes along the sound is more uniformed and connected in pitch. This is a direct result of everyone in the room being guided and supported not only by the teachers but by the people on the mats next to each other. I’ve attended multiple different styles of classes with numerous different teachers and each class is just as unique as the teacher that leads it, yet the soul of the space remains so it all feels familiar. Bec will lead you through a practice that most of the time begins with a dharma talk that at first feels disconnected to yoga yet by the end of the practice feels entirely reflective of yoga. Her playlists include deeply emotional songs and upbeat empowering anthems. Olivia will speak from her heart and then take you through a flow that wrings out all your emotions so that your heart is suddenly open too. Her music is often directly reflective of the talk she gives at the beginning which forces you to connect with the intention she or you sets. Fatima has a divine energy about her that shows through in her warm and intentional flows that are set to enchanting music. Chelsea has one of the most calming energies I’ve ever encountered and brings about peace throughout her entire flow. Kayleen’s super gentle flows will genuinely make you feel like a puddle afterwards and slow your system right down to the atom. Liz cues in a way that makes it especially impossible to think of anything else, she demands your mind’s attention while still being gentle. Joanna is one of the most knowledgeable yoga teachers out there. She is fully aware of every muscle that should be tightened or released in each pose and educates the class without making it feel as if it were just another workout class. Brianna’s classes are filled with “basic” traditional movements that are held for enough breathes to really deepen the pose thus providing a different outlook on the “basic” poses. You truly cannot go wrong picking any of the classes or any of the teachers because each one will feed your soul exactly what it needs. You’ll never feel judged for picking a different variation of the pose, you’ll feel challenged yet empowered, and you’ll especially feel a deeper connection to your mind and body.

May 12 · Kathryn Mae CragerJust took my first ever yoga class here and had a great experience. Felt super welcome, as someone who gets terrified around large groups and in new settings, it is greatly appreciated how nice the instructor was. Ty!EditI have been coming here for 2 months now and my first impression was accurate, this place is awesome, full of knowledgeable and welcoming teachers. Leaving class, I am rewarded with a feeling I don’t get from any other form of exercise. I recommend everyone try out Vira Yoga!
