The Spiral Goddess Collective is a truly special place and is worth choosing for your wellness journey for several key reasons. Its identity as an LGBTQ+ and women-owned business sets a powerful and welcoming tone from the moment you discover it. The studio goes beyond the typical yoga experience by offering a diverse range of classes, from structured group lessons and private sessions to unique movement styles like Dance Dance Party Party and JourneyDance. This variety ensures that you can find a form of movement that genuinely resonates with you, whether you're looking for deep relaxation, a fun way to release stress, or a structured yoga practice. The instructors are consistently praised for their expertise and, more importantly, their ability to create an inclusive and non-judgmental atmosphere.
A key highlight, as noted in customer reviews, is the studio's commitment to accessibility and the focus on internal feelings over external appearance. The lack of mirrors, for example, is a simple yet profound choice that helps practitioners focus on their body's internal sensations and not on how they compare to others. This fosters a much more personal and healing experience. The collective's explicit designation as a transgender safespace, along with its gender-neutral restroom, demonstrates a deep and genuine commitment to creating a space where everyone feels secure and respected. The positive feedback from customers, who describe the experience as "deeply relaxing, healing, and restorative," speaks volumes about the quality of the offerings. Despite the presence of stairs, a visitor felt the effort was minimal for the reward. For anyone in the Bangor area seeking not just a yoga studio, but a community that is supportive, diverse, and dedicated to holistic well-being, The Spiral Goddess Collective is an exceptional and highly recommended choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Spiral Goddess Collective is a wonderful place to take classes! I have been going for nearly two years now, though sometimes infrequently, and I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated when the class is over. I’ve gone to most of the classes offered at least once, and I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the instructors. They seem careful to choose people that prioritize inclusivity and accessibility. They have more and less structured classes, with a variety of movement styles and activity levels. I love how the instructors take requests from us for things we want to stretch in particular, and I never feel judged! There are also no mirrors in the space like many other studios, so I am much more able to focus on how I feel and not how I look. Couldn’t recommend more!!
August 09 · Kate KemperI visited the Spiral Goddess Collective for the first time on Sunday, May 25, 2025. It was adeeply relaxing, healing, and restorative experience for me. I'm so glad I got to have this experience in community with others. I had procrastinated visiting the Spiral Goddess Collective because I knew I would have to climb some stairs to get to their studio. It was much easier than I thought it would be to go up the stairs. I felt very comfortable participating at a level that I was comfortable with physically even though some others were able to do more than me. Everyone at the group was very friendly and welcoming. I'm so glad I went and I definitely plan to go back.

It's open, airy, gorgeous floors, so much room to move!I've taken a few dance/movement therapy classes and I'm so impressed with the level of acceptance and body awareness that's encouraged by Sarah. It's so refreshing to just groove, it's almost like the good-old-days dancing with your buds.Just an all around lovely experience ✨️

The dance classes are incredibly fun and refreshingly unique—easy to follow at times, yet energizing enough to get your heart pumping. The yoga sessions are just as impressive, offering the perfect balance of challenge and tranquility, leaving you feeling grounded and at peace. Every class I’ve taken here has been a joy, and the beautiful, open space only adds to the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a vibrant and local fitness community.
