Sunrise Courts Introduce
Located in the heart of Puyallup, Washington, Sunrise Courts serves as a local gym with a particular emphasis on volleyball. This facility is a dedicated space that provides an environment for focused training and practice sessions, catering to a specific niche within the local sports community. While it is a recognized gym, its primary use and value are found in its role as a training ground for teams and individual athletes looking to hone their skills. The facility offers a no-frills, functional space where the focus is squarely on the athletic activities taking place. It provides the essential amenities needed for effective workouts and practice, making it a viable option for local sports clubs and individuals who need a consistent and dedicated place to train. For residents of Puyallup and the surrounding Washington region, Sunrise Courts is a straightforward and accessible option for their specific athletic needs.
The facility is designed for regular, small-scale activities, such as club practices, where the main priority is on-court time and skill development. It offers a structured environment for players to work with their coaches and teammates without the distractions of a large, multi-purpose venue. The focus here is on the sport itself, with the space and equipment tailored to facilitate effective volleyball training. For teams that require a consistent location for their weekly sessions, Sunrise Courts provides a practical and reliable solution. Its simplicity is part of its charm for a certain kind of user—one who values the court time and the focused practice over extensive amenities or a large-scale spectator experience. It's a place where athletes can put in the hard work required to improve their game, and it serves this purpose well within the local sports ecosystem.
It is important to note that while the facility is well-suited for its primary purpose of practice, it is not optimized for large-scale public events. Feedback from real customers highlights that the space is not viable for multi-team tournaments or large-scale events that require extensive parking, spacious indoor gathering areas, and extensive amenities. This distinction is crucial for potential users to understand. The facility is best suited for its core function: providing a consistent, on-demand court for athletic training. For local clubs and teams in the Washington area, this means having a reliable home base for their practices. For individual athletes, it means a place to engage in their passion in a dedicated environment. The facility's utility is clear and specific, making it a valuable resource for a certain segment of the local fitness and sports community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m sure the facility is fine for club practices but is not a viable location for tournament play. First and foremost are the parking issues. There simply isn’t enough parking to host a tournament. I saw parents with children having to park on the side of the street in the dark with no place to walk. Cars drive by and come so close to families that I’m surprised nobody has been struck. A parent had their car high centered and had to call a towing company to have their vehicle removed. Regarding the facilities specifically, the bathrooms are also inadequate. There is often a line 6-8 deep while players will understandably cut in as to not miss warmups or game time. The ceiling is so low that multiple points, often of significant consequence, are determined by balls hitting the rafters. Many of these could easily be played. There is no indoor area from teams to gather between games. The makeshift outdoor tent is insufficient and families often sit in their vehicles waiting for their athlete’s next game.In summary, the Sunrise courts, while a fine practice facility, is simply not a viable location for volleyball events involving multiple teams. Given the amount of club fees that families are paying, teams deserve a far better facility for tournament play.
February 05 · Michael BowieI echo what everyone else has said. For a practice location it might be fine, but it in no way should be used as a multi-game tournament or Power League venue. It is unsafe and unhealthy for athletes with no heat (it’s currently 28 degrees out and not much warmer inside), nowhere to rest between games or even put their gear (it’s outside in a tent), no bathrooms (wait time can be up to a half hour), limited seating for spectators, limited serving area, and you can’t leave to get food or you will lose your limited parking.
January 25 · Athena BertolinoThis review relates to this facility as a tournament venue. The one star is for the actual courts which are in good condition. Now for the 0 stars:- Parking: Plan to risk your life crossing the road because there is limited parking. Also plan to be yelled at and/or towed if you park improperly on the road, nothing is marked or described.- Bathrooms: Only 2 toilets with no portables, plan to wait up to 30min or drive to Starbucks.- Player facilities: Unheated outdoor tents with transparent windows.- WiFi: They refuse to allow access and most cell signals are blocked by the metal structure.- Heating: There is none, it was below freezing inside during a winter tourney and half of my daughter's team became sick.- Spectator space, treatment: Limited space and plan to be treated as an inconvenience after they take your entry fee.
February 25 · HakThis place is the worst for tournaments. The courts and space is less than ideal and there is almost zero parking. I had my car broken into last time I was there, they smashed our window and when I told the staff they said it happens all the time!!! I wish they had warned me.
February 13 · Hannah MontroyAs others have stated- get there early for parking or seating & be prepared to wait in line for restroom. Bring a jacket at it is a warehouse so a little cold.. 3 courts, Sportcourt floors, clear lines, platforms for up ref. Nice facility. Has 2 other businesses at bldg.
