StretchLab Introduce
StretchLab is a unique fitness center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that distinguishes itself by focusing on the often-overlooked but crucial component of physical health: flexibility and mobility. Unlike a traditional gym filled with cardio machines and weights, StretchLab specializes in assisted stretching, a practice that can significantly enhance athletic performance, reduce muscle soreness, and improve overall wellness. The experience is centered around one-on-one sessions with a "Flexologist," a highly trained professional who guides you through a personalized series of stretches. This personalized approach ensures that each session is tailored to your specific needs, whether you're an athlete recovering from a hard workout or an office worker dealing with the stiffness of a sedentary lifestyle.
The philosophy at StretchLab is simple: assisted stretching provides a deeper, more effective stretch than what you can achieve on your own. The skilled Flexologists use a variety of techniques to improve your range of motion and flexibility, helping you to feel better and move more freely. As highlighted in a customer review, the expertise of professionals like George, with his "knowledge of the body, attention to detail, and ability to tailor each session," is a key asset that delivers tangible results. The studio is designed to be a clean and focused environment, allowing you to relax and fully benefit from the session. However, it's worth noting that customer experiences can vary, particularly concerning the administrative and billing aspects of the membership, which some reviews suggest can be challenging.
StretchLab is located at 2002 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525, making it easily accessible for a wide range of residents. Situated on East Beltline Avenue NE, it is in a prime commercial area, surrounded by other businesses and close to major roads. This strategic location is convenient for those living in or commuting through the eastern part of Grand Rapids and nearby areas like Ada and Forest Hills. For those traveling by car, a key feature of the location is the wheelchair-accessible parking lot, which simplifies the arrival and departure process. This makes it a practical option for anyone looking to incorporate assisted stretching into their routine.
The accessibility of the facility is a clear priority, extending beyond the parking lot. The building features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that all community members, regardless of mobility needs, can comfortably access the services offered inside. The central and well-known location on East Beltline Avenue NE means it’s easy to find for both first-time visitors and repeat clients. While some businesses may have complex parking situations, the availability of accessible parking here adds to the overall convenience and user-friendly nature of the facility. The ease of getting to and from the studio is a significant benefit for members with busy schedules who want a seamless experience.
StretchLab offers a specialized service that differs from the typical gym and fitness center model.
One-on-One Stretching: The core of the service is a one-on-one session with a highly trained Flexologist. These sessions are available in 25-minute focused stretches or 50-minute full-body deep stretches, customized to meet your specific needs and flexibility goals.
Group Stretches: The academy also offers group stretch sessions, led by a Flexologist who guides multiple clients through a series of stretches. This provides a more communal experience while still offering professional guidance.
The key features of StretchLab are designed to provide a comfortable and professional experience.
Accessibility: A major highlight is the facility's commitment to accessibility, which includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, making the studio welcoming to a diverse range of clients.
Amenities: The presence of a clean and well-maintained restroom is a basic but essential amenity that contributes to a comfortable and convenient visit.
Expert Staff: The team of Flexologists is highly trained, and as noted in a glowing review, their knowledge and ability to customize sessions are significant assets. This expertise is a primary reason clients see tangible results.
Payment Options: For ease of transaction, the studio accepts credit cards and debit cards, providing flexibility and convenience for members.

StretchLab is worth choosing for individuals who are serious about improving their flexibility, mobility, and overall physical well-being. Unlike a traditional gym where stretching is often an afterthought, StretchLab provides a dedicated and professional environment for this crucial aspect of fitness. The one-on-one sessions with expert Flexologists offer a level of personalization and effectiveness that is hard to replicate on your own. For those dealing with chronic muscle tension, recovering from an injury, or simply seeking to enhance their athletic performance, the specialized service can be a game-changer. The positive testimonial about a specific Flexologist, George, highlights the potential for truly exceptional and transformative results from a dedicated professional.
However, it is crucial for prospective members to exercise caution and thoroughly understand the business's membership and billing policies. A negative review highlights serious concerns about billing practices, lack of transparency regarding cancellation clauses, and difficulty obtaining refunds. This indicates that while the service itself may be highly effective, the administrative side of the business could pose challenges. Therefore, anyone considering a membership should ask detailed questions about the contract, cancellation policy, and billing procedures upfront. For those who do their due diligence, the quality of the assisted stretching service at StretchLab can be a very valuable investment in their health, providing a unique and effective solution to a common fitness need.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1George is, without question, one of the best flexologists with whom I’ve ever worked. His knowledge of the body, attention to detail, and ability to tailor each session precisely to my needs are unmatched. He is incredibly helpful, creative, and consistently ensures that I leave feeling significantly better than when I arrived. Stretch Lab should do everything possible to retain him—George is an outstanding professional and an invaluable asset to the team.
May 09 · Anthony BradleyStay away from the Stretchlab scam! Complete money grab and they hide behind a 30 day cancellation clause that was not even documented when starting their services. When I started in May of 2025 they said that their program is for three months to get proper results. I agreed to that and paid monthly, including June and July. I was charged for August on July 26, 2025 with NO sessions scheduled for the month of August. I requested to cancel my account on July 28, 2025 and asked for a refund of my $299 for August on July 28, 2025. They refused. Completely deceptive business practices and not honest at all about their costs or billing procedures.
July 28 · John GiustiHad a great first expirience at stretch lab working with Jordan who was very kind and knowledgeable. Cool setup with the tables and I felt great after!
August 29 · Alex FontaineWhat a joke! George tore up my right knee making me a cripple for 7 months and the owners won’t do a thing, hiding behind the liability waiver they make you sign. Customer service is nonexistent as it looks like they are more interested in my money, not my welfare
June 29 · Bryan ScottI have visited several times and worked with Amber. She is quite knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She gave some tips for stretching at home as well. She’s a 5 star… highly recommend. The staff at the front desk are kind and very helpful as well. We changed our contract yesterday and she showed a lot of patience and consideration while helping get set up for the next two months. Great customer service!
