I cannot more strongly (pun intended) recommend Nick and the Starting Strength method of coaching, especially for new or inexperienced lifters. Within a few months you will be lifting more than you thought possible. If you keep with it, you will completely transform - not only your body, but your self-esteem and mental wellbeing as well. This isn't a place for meatheads or bros. This is where you want your mother and grandmother to train. They are patient, kind, safety-minded, and will steadily build up your strength and your confidence. While lifting definitely has immediate benefits, you join this gym as a long-term insurance policy. You are building stronger muscles, denser bones, and tougher ligaments for when you are in your 60s, 70s, and beyond. Give it a try - you won't regret it!

During this time, I started hitting PRs again and stopped getting injured every few months. I believe this is thanks to the Starting Strength Method and Nick’s expertise in coaching it.I do wish I had the opportunity for in-person coaching instead of online, but that’s the best you can get when you live halfway around the world.
