★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I started training with Travis about 2 and a half years ago in his garage prior to him opening the gym (we called it the garage of pain :) ). Travis was very diligent in assessing where I was at when I got started and where I needed work. It was clear I lacked mobility and flexibility which is needed to be able to move forward in strength training without injury. Travis worked through the progression with me and I was able to overcome limitations quickly. He was very consistent in pushing me to move forward but also staying safe. When he opened the gym I continued to work with Travis but also started training with Rob who is just as great. I can't say enough good things about Rob and Travis both. They always have workouts prepared that are dynamic and changing in order to challenge me. The workouts are tailored to where I am on that exact day and are never generic. I never have to worry about going to the gym and wondering what to do or how to do it. They even helped with meal planning! I would absolutely recommend Spectrum Elite to anyone. I couldn't have a more knowledgeable crew to work with.
April 24 · Megan MasseyAbout a year and a half ago I moved from New York to North Carolina, and being a serious Powerlifter and someone who has worked out for years one of my first priorities was to find a great gym. I checked out a few local and chain gyms, and was starting to lose hope that I’d find what I was looking for until I walked into Spectrum Elite Strength Conditioning. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Rob and Travis who were recovering from their own workout they had just finished. Upon checking the place out and chatting with them for a while I knew I had found my place. They have many high-quality barbells, kilogram and bumper plates, and Iron Dumbbells that go heavy enough for even my heaviest days, just to name a few of the huge benefits this gym has that most others do not. I generally program my own workouts and need little help, but any time I have needed a tip, advice, technique help, or help dealing with an injury Rob and Travis have always had the solution. As a former Trainer myself, the programming and attention to technique and individual differences these guys give to each client is amazing. I’ve progressed an unbelievable amount in the short time that I’ve been working out at Spectrum Elite Strength Conditioning, thanks to the gym, environment, and support of Travis and Rob both inside and out of the Gym.Whether you are new to working out or a seasoned lifter like myself, do yourself a favor and check them out. I’m beyond grateful that I did.
August 29 · Peter FabriziThis is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. My husband and I were new to the area and decided to check out Spectrum Elite. Rob and Travis worked with us to create a program based on our fitness goals. Not only is my program fun and engaging (and challenging), the results are awesome! These guys know what they are doing and it shows.
October 13 · Lauren ChambersAbout a year ago I started my journey at Spectrum Elite. I came into the gym with a CrossFit background and also some injuries, so I was looking for a place that would still allow me to strength train while also teaching me how to do things more efficiently for my body. During our first session, Rob conducted a very thorough series of mobility tests and talked to me about my own goals and weaknesses. After that, plans were created that tailored my specific needs. I learned how to dead-lift properly, how to stretch different areas and in different ways to make my body feel better, and I learned how to take a step back, go slow, and let the body understand proper movements. Throughout my journey, I experienced various setbacks with muscle pain or tension in different areas. Rob helped me to work through each of those things, and modified workouts so that I could still exercise without increasing injury. Over time, I lost weight, gained muscle, and now have almost zero hip and lower-back pain.Spectrum Elite Strength and Conditioning has been my favorite gym and has provided me with one of the best fitness experiences ever. If you are looking for a place that is person-centered and has a positive atmosphere, this is the gym for you. If you want to make changes for yourself, don't be afraid to give it a try, so you too can be elite.
January 31 · Cynthia MorrisI was in town for several days and wanted a decent gym to keep up with my program, Spectrum more than fit the bill. They have everything you need, plenty of barbells, bands, a variety of dumbbells, kettlebells, bumper plates and more. Overall great facility. Though I was there for a short period of time the atmosphere was great as well. Whether it's your first time in a gym or you have years of experience I encourage you to check out Spectrum!
