★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My journey with Some Like It Hot Yoga Studio began a few months ago, and I've been delighted with my experience. This place is such a hidden gem! The owner, Deb, and the entire staff are friendly and welcoming and make you feel like part of a warm, supportive community; this says a lot coming from an introvert.Unlike other hot yoga studios, SLIH is unique in that it offers a variety of classes throughout the day with different flows, allowing you to pick the class best suited for your needs/goals.Some of my favorite classes are Yin Yoga with Melissa, Nourish, Gravity, and Hot Power Flow with Deb. The morning classes with Michael are also great, as he has such a soothing personality. I used to be an avid CrossFit goer, and I can tell you that I have never burned as many calories as I do when I take some of the more intense classes at SLIH.Another thing I love about this studio is that they are constantly introducing new classes/experiences, such as outdoor yoga and a yoga/book club. There is plenty of parking available right in front of the building. They also have drinks for sale and yoga mat rentals. Their pricing is also extremely reasonable for the quality of classes and flexible schedule. I suggest you give this studio a try, you won't regret it!
March 06 · Tania GalindoMy home away from home - I love every class, every instructor, and have been coming here since they opened! This is the best hot yoga studio I have ever been to and truly a place where you can find something for every one who loves to practice yoga!
September 09 · Caitlin HBest hot yoga studio around! They offer a variety of classes for all levels. Every single teacher here is amazing, and each has their own style, so you're sure to find something that works for you. Plus, they offer a large variety of class times to fit your schedule. It is a smaller studio, no more than 20 people per class, so it does not feel overwhelming or crowded. The owner, Deb, offers my favorite power class at 5pm on weekdays. I always leave feeling recharged, happier, and lighter (literally, I think you burn ~500 calories in this class). If you're on the fence about trying hot yoga, this studio is perfect for you. I hope you love it as much as I do. It is truly my happy place!
September 21 · Amber BricklI’ve been to this studio in the past and didn’t have the same experience, but my recent visit was extremely uncomfortable, so much so I couldn’t actually enjoy the class and couldn’t wait to leave.I arrived a few minutes before class due to traffic, and apparently the class had already started. Instead of simply giving verbal directions, the front desk staff AGGRESSIVELY used their body to physically usher me into the room. As someone with PTSD, this was incredibly triggering and now I have to spend my entire day trying to slow down my fight/flight response. On top of that, the overall energy of the community felt judgmental rather than welcoming. There was resistance to making room for me on the floor and the person next to me made it a point to let me know she didn’t want me near her by extending her foot during a pose an inch from my mouth….I’m a 15 year practitioner of yoga, a registered yoga instructor, as well as a trauma informed instructor and I’ve never felt this type of energy from a space before.I was hoping for a supportive space but, unfortunately, didn’t find that here.
March 23 · Melinda DeCosterI was away from yoga for about 8 years. Coming back to SLIHY has been wonderful. AJ’s classes are amazing. I’m so happy to be back and join this great community.
