[solidcore] West LA Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For California residents seeking a truly challenging and transformative fitness experience, West LA presents a unique and intense approach to strength training. While often categorized among Pilates studios due to its use of a resistance machine, positions itself as a distinct, high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout. The core of the experience lies in its 50-minute, coach-led sessions performed on a custom-built machine affectionately called ‘Sweatlana’—a Pilates-inspired Reformer designed for maximum resistance and muscle engagement.
The method is scientifically designed to break down your slow-twitch muscle fibers to the point of "failure," a feeling often described by clients as "the shakes." This process is key to building muscle strength and endurance back stronger, fostering a powerful physical and mental transformation. Classes are held under distinctive blue lighting with energetic music, creating an immersive atmosphere that motivates clients to push their personal limits. Newcomers are encouraged to start with "Starter50" classes to learn the fundamentals of the machine and the slow, controlled movements required to achieve the desired intensity. This fitness center, gym, and physical fitness program is a go-to for those in the Los Angeles area ready to dedicate themselves to a hard, yet low-impact, total-body workout.
Location and Accessibility
The West LA studio is conveniently located in a commercial complex on Olympic Boulevard, serving the communities of Brentwood, Westwood, and the Sawtelle area of Los Angeles, CA.
Address: 12101 Olympic Blvd Suite 109, Los Angeles, CA 90064, USA
Accessibility is generally a key feature of the facility, ensuring ease of access for all potential clients:

However, local users should be aware of a specific challenge concerning parking validation, particularly for longer classes. The studio’s location within a building structure means parking validation is limited to 75 minutes. While this is typically ample time for the standard 50-minute class, it creates a significant time crunch for the 65-minute "Supersolid" classes, or for any client who arrives early, needs to use the restroom, or encounters a slow exit queue. Clients are advised to plan their arrival and departure meticulously to avoid accruing parking charges, noting that other locations like Culver City and Santa Monica may offer more flexible validation.

What is Worth Choosing
Choosing West LA is ideal for California users who are seeking a workout that is truly efficient, challenging, and focused on deep, transformative strength. Its primary appeal lies in its unique, low-impact, high-intensity methodology that guarantees muscular failure and growth. Clients consistently describe the classes as "really hard" but the "best and most challenging workout for your entire body," confirming that the formula delivers on its promise of strength building. The class is known for its incredible core work—one reviewer stated they had "never done this much core in my entire life"—making it a premier choice for abdominal and full-body toning.
The studio benefits greatly from its attentive, motivating coaches, who are key in helping clients "getting used to all the various moves" and offering critical corrections for form. This high level of instruction is essential for a workout performed on a complex machine like the Reformer.
However, prospective clients must be fully aware of the 75-minute parking validation constraint at the West LA location, especially when attending the 65-minute advanced class. This requires punctuality and careful planning and may result in an additional small fee for those who are not in and out of the garage quickly. Despite this logistical issue, the proven effectiveness of the workout, the engaging atmosphere, and the quality of instruction make West LA a highly worthwhile and premium fitness program for those committed to unlocking their strongest self.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Solidcore. The class is great. But this location’s parking is not Supersolid friendly. It only validates for 75 mins. The class is 65 mins. This means you have all of ten mins to park, get up to the studio, check in, wipe down after class, validate parking and get back into your car and get to the exit, all in 10 mins. With the structure of the buildings it takes at least 2 mins from getting out your car to getting into the studio, if you sprint. God forbid if you need to use the bathroom after class. I’ve been charged $3 every time I come to supersolid here. The parking attendant is not helpful, there is no calling button that works on the machine, and I had to just get out of my car to get them. If anyone is in line to get out of parking, you are pretty much guaranteed to pay for it. Just be ready to run, and don’t be early to a supersolid class. Regular classes are 50 mins so 75 mins validation is plenty.Note Culver City location and Santa Monica location do not have this issue. I believe they validate for 90 mins. I can leisurely get a coffee after a hard supersolid class and still be fine.
March 31 · Claire ZhangSo far, I’ve had my intro and second lesson with Harrison b. He is great, and helps me with getting used to all the various moves. Of course, you can look at your fellow classmates and see what they’re doing, but it really helps when the instructor gives you little pointers and extra motivation. The classes are really hard in the beginning, but it is the best and most challenging workout for your entire body
June 07 · Jeff LapinsI LOVE solidcore. I am 100% not the type of person who likes to be in pain for days after a workout, but somehow Solidcore has me hooked on the pain! The core strength has helped me so much with a couple of injuries I’ve been rehabbing for a while. The instructors are AWESOME and all so sweet and helpful. Tell them if you’re new or if you have injuries and they will check in with you the whole class. It’s expensive, but ClassPass makes the $ a little more palatable. Highly recommend!
