[solidcore] Hoboken Introduce
For New Jersey locals seeking a workout that promises to challenge them in ways they've never experienced before, Hoboken stands out as a unique and effective option. This is not your typical gym; it's a boutique fitness studio that redefines what it means to push your limits. The core of the method is a high-intensity, low-impact workout performed on a custom-built, Pilates-inspired reformer machine. With the lights down and music up, each 50-minute class is an immersive and focused experience designed to target your slow-twitch muscle fibers, taking them to the point of failure. This scientifically-backed approach is what leads to the incredible strength and muscle definition that many clients rave about. The goal is to build a stronger version of yourself, and the workout is intentionally designed to be difficult, no matter your fitness level. While the movements are slow and controlled, the intensity is off the charts, leading to the signature "shakes" that clients often feel, which is a sign that the muscles are breaking down to build back stronger. This is a workout for those who are ready to embrace the challenge and find joy in the work. The small class sizes ensure that every participant receives personalized attention and hands-on adjustments from the instructors. This is crucial for maintaining proper form and getting the most out of every exercise. The supportive community and motivating environment are a big part of what makes so popular. Clients often feel a sense of camaraderie as they push through the difficult moments together. The focus here is not on competing with others, but on pushing your own personal boundaries, which makes the experience all the more rewarding. It’s a transformative workout that builds physical strength and mental resilience, and for many, it becomes a consistent part of their fitness routine.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m honestly surprised by the negative reviews—I had an incredible first experience! I signed up right away after my first class. Gaby is not only an amazing person but also one of the best instructors I’ve ever trained with. I love a challenging workout, and this was next level—it truly pushes you! I’m definitely feeling sore after yesterday’s class, but it’s 100% worth it. Huge thanks to Gaby—you’re absolutely the best!
June 23 · Tyler RayI am giving two stars, because I haven’t got to meet the entire staff, but as my first time in a Pilates class the experience was not very pleasant. From the first moment I stepped into the class the instructor was very rude, giving such a bad attitude to me and my friend. Let’s point out that finding parking in Hoboken is really difficult. I had arrived on time, but finding parking took a lot. Me and my friend were 10 minutes late to the class and as soon as we step into the class, she screamed at us, told us if we were late again she was not gonna allow us into the class. Let’s have in mind this is a class you pay for this is not a college class or else. They should be aware of the parking difficulties. I recall our instructor name, Brittany, as the class started, throughout it, her indications were very unclear and the assistance as well. I did not feel welcomed neither motivated to come back. I’m not gonna blame Pilates for this, but I am definitely hesitant to come back at least to this specific location.
July 22 · Meck BI tried Solidcore for the first time right before the holidays and my first impression was "dude, this class is insane." You certainly need to have a drive for this type of workout, but you also have to be mindful of the learning curve. Once you understand the flow and routine, it is not as daunting, but still an incredible workout for your whole body, not just the core.Huge shout out to Coach Desiree who is a big inspiration and the main reason why I continued to come. Her energy, motivation, and adjustments made it all worthwhile and got me excited to return. I can already see huge improvements in my form. My overall strength has increased over time as well. I love her classes and actually look forward to getting my butt kicked by her each week! Highly recommend for those who love to push their bodies to the limits!
April 10 · Amanda MarshallAs a first-time Pilates student, my experience with Brittany O during the Sunday 12:10pm Intro class was deeply disappointing. She came across as rude and condescending, which aligns with concerns expressed in other reviews. The environment felt unwelcoming, which is especially disheartening as someone who works in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and coach for five consecutive years. It is unprofessional to speak to people who are paying a very pretty price for one single workout, in the manner she did. The workout was unstructured, Brittany seemed uncertain about the flow of each block, frequently changing exercises and improvising toward the end. I had hoped to enjoy this class and include it in my own training regimen but unfortunately, I left feeling discouraged and dissatisfied. I do not plan on returning to this location. Please aim to improve customer relations, People come to studios like this to better themselves mentally and physically, and should be lead by teachers with positive energy and intent- not in the way Britany conducted her class. The blonde lady at the front desk was very sweet &nice otherwise!
May 26 · BSolidcore is a fantastic studio with excellent instructors. The classes are definitely challenging, and I had no issues booking morning sessions. The studio is well-run and delivers a great workout experience. However, it is quite expensive, and parking can be troublesome, costing around $3–$4 per hour. While this isn’t the studio’s fault, it would be great if corporate offered some form of compensation. I did the two-week unlimited trial and attended 10 classes, which I highly recommend, especially for beginners looking to build a routine. That said, if you need to drive in regularly, the cost and parking might be a dealbreaker. But if you live within walking distance, it’s absolutely worth it!
