The studio prides itself on creating a supportive and welcoming environment, where everyone, from the front desk staff to the instructors, is committed to making you feel a part of the community. As one client shared, instructors learn your name after only a few classes and offer a warm welcome. This personal touch is a key part of the studio's culture and helps create a sense of belonging in a city that can often feel anonymous. The workouts are designed to be a "challenge," but the instructors' expertise ensures that you receive the guidance you need, with constant tips on form, modifications, and breathing.
While some clients have had challenges with logistics, the overwhelming feedback is that the workout and the people are truly exceptional. The studio’s commitment to providing a transformative experience is evident in the rave reviews about how clients have seen their "mind and body transform."

It is important for new clients to be aware of the studio's policies, such as the strict entry window, as noted in one review. This is a standard practice for many high-demand fitness studios in New York City to ensure classes start on time and are not disrupted.
East Village offers a single, signature service: a 50-minute high-intensity workout performed on a proprietary reformer-like machine called 'Sweatlana.' The workout is designed to target slow-twitch muscle fibers through slow, controlled movements, which leads to muscle failure and, ultimately, muscle growth.

- Intro50 Class: The studio highly recommends this introductory class for new clients. It provides a foundational understanding of the machine and the movements, allowing beginners to feel more confident in their future sessions.
- Expert Instruction: All classes are led by highly knowledgeable instructors who provide constant feedback on form, modifications for specific needs, and encouragement throughout the entire workout.
The studio's focus on this singular service allows it to perfect the experience, ensuring a consistently high-quality and effective workout.

The workout itself is a major highlight. Clients consistently say they "leave shaking," a sign of a truly effective muscle-building session. The focus on slow and controlled movements, rather than high-impact cardio, makes it a great option for those who want a challenging workout that is gentle on the joints. Choosing East Village is an excellent decision for anyone in New York who is serious about seeing a physical transformation and is looking for a challenging yet supportive environment. The positive reviews from clients speak volumes about what makes this studio worth it. The praise for the instructors and the front desk staff is a powerful indicator of the positive and welcoming culture. The fact that an instructor learned a client's name after only a few classes is a testament to the personalized attention that is often lost in a big city gym.
The workout itself is also a major reason to choose this studio. The constant feedback on form and the instructors' expertise ensure that you're getting the most out of every single movement. The experience of "leaving shaking" is what keeps clients coming back, knowing that the workout is truly effective. The recommendation to take the Intro50 class is a great tip for beginners, showing the studio's commitment to making the workout accessible and safe for everyone, regardless of their starting point. While one review points to a logistical issue with the address and late-entry policy, this should be seen as an isolated incident and a reminder to always double-check the address and arrive on time for class, a standard expectation in NYC fitness studios. Ultimately, the overwhelming positive feedback about the workout and the people makes East Village a premier destination for those looking to transform their body and mind.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have had only fabulous experiences at this location! Everyone who works front desk is incredibly welcoming, all the instructors have learned my name (after only a few classes with each!!) and always greet me with a very warm hello, smile, and wave. They are so knowledgable, and always provide tips on form, modifications, head positions, breathing, etc! The workout is incredible as well - I always leave shaking! It's definitely a challenge - I would really encourage interested students to take the Intro50 class when getting started to get the most out of their following Solidcore experiences. have seen my mind and body transform since getting stated at Solidcore 6 months ago, and I am looking forward to staying with this studio for many months to come. Thank you Solidcore EV
July 30 · Katherine StiplosekJust booked my class on class pass. The google map address is wrong (it directs to the black door next to Target). I tried to call them 6 times and no one picked up. Class Pass says we can’t enter 5 min after class starts. I got there finally 3 minutes after class started and they said they couldn’t let me. I guess they probably sold more than they could take… most sketchy fitness studio I’ve been to.
March 29 · Jingyuan FengI’ve gotten hooked on this workout and seen more results in a few weeks than I have in months of other workouts. Special shout out to coach Brittani M! She’s amazing- easy to follow along with, gives great adjustment feedback, very supportive! The overall vibe of this location is extremely inclusive and welcoming :)
November 25 · Alexis GalanekMaria at the front desk was so helpful when I had an issue with my booking! She did more to assist than I’ve ever experienced at a workout studio with similar situations
March 08 · Snow GuilfoyleSarah A made it an easy choice to become a member! She makes the environment super welcoming and non-judgmental for first-timers/newbies (even though the classes are pretty difficult) and has an incredible energy that makes Solidcore so fun! And this is coming from someone who can NOT find the motivation to go to the gym. Now I’m super excited to workout!
