This isn't just a place to sweat; it’s a high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout experience that is scientifically designed to push your muscles to failure, so they can rebuild stronger than ever. The studio's unique approach and inspiring coaches create an environment that is both motivating and transformative.
is a brand known for its distinctive workout style on a Pilates-inspired reformer machine called "Sweatlana." The core of the workout is built on slow and controlled movements that create a deep burn in your muscles. The classes are held in a dimly lit room with high-energy music, providing an immersive experience that helps you focus on your body and block out distractions. This workout is for anyone who wants to build lean muscle, increase endurance, and get stronger, regardless of their current fitness level. As one customer stated, they are "by no means a pro at pilates," but the coach helped them gain "more and more insight into how to target each muscle group." The effectiveness and addictive nature of the workout are evident, with one reviewer immediately looking for a studio back home after trying it.
The studio's dedication to quality coaching is a key part of its success. Coaches are highly trained to provide personalized attention and corrections, even in a group setting. This ensures that every client is performing the exercises with proper form to get the maximum benefit and prevent injury. While one customer review mentioned issues with a membership cancellation process, it's important to note that the positive feedback about the coaching staff is overwhelming. A summer visitor to the studio could not recommend it and coach Oliver enough, calling him "a gem" who "excels at motivating his attendees and giving them the best workout possible." This level of personal connection and expertise is a cornerstone of the experience.

Charlottesville offers highly specialized services focused on its signature workout. The main service is group fitness, but the personalized attention makes it feel like a hybrid of group and personal training.
- Group Fitness: The core of the studio's offering is a 50-minute high-intensity, low-impact group fitness class. These classes are designed to be full-body workouts, but some may also focus on specific muscle groups. The instructors are trained to provide modifications and amplifications, making the class suitable for a wide range of fitness levels.
- Personal Training: While the group classes are structured, the small class sizes allow for a great deal of individual attention from the coach, which is essentially a form of personal training within a group environment. The coaches give "corrective touches" and provide feedback to ensure you're getting the most out of every movement.
- Youth Classes: While information provided is limited, the studio does indicate offering youth classes, showing a commitment to providing fitness opportunities for younger members of the community as well.
The focus on these specific services ensures a deep level of expertise and quality in their offerings.
Several key features and highlights make a unique and worthwhile fitness destination in our community.
- Expert Coaching Staff: As highlighted in the reviews, the coaches are "highly professional and kind" and are praised for their ability to motivate and provide detailed guidance on form and muscle targeting.
- Unique and Challenging Workout: The workout is distinct from traditional Pilates or strength training. It's designed to push your muscles to "failure," leading to significant strength gains and a new level of fitness. One reviewer described it as an experience that makes you "feel more mobile, comfortable, loose and pain free."
- Community and Environment: The studio is described as a place that is "welcoming" and "supportive." The sense of community and the positive atmosphere make a challenging workout much more enjoyable and something to "look forward every day."
- Restroom: For client convenience, the studio is equipped with a clean restroom.
- Digital Integration: The business operates on an appointment-recommended basis, with classes reserved and paid for in advance through their app. This streamlines the process and helps clients plan their sessions.

While a previous customer's experience with the membership and cancellation policy was frustrating, it is important to weigh this against the overwhelming positive feedback on the core service itself. The studio’s commitment to providing a high-quality, professional workout experience remains a consistent highlight. The benefits, such as enhanced flexibility, reduced discomfort, and increased energy levels, are life-changing for many members. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was only in Charlottesville for the summer but even so, I cannot recommend Solidcore and coach Oliver enough.Fitness is a lifestyle for me and I have very high standards for fitness studios, but Oliver exceeded my expectations. I came back again and again for the 5:10am class and never left disappointed.Oliver is a highly professional and kind individual. He excels at motivating his attendees and giving them the best workout possible. I am by no means a pro at pilates, but each time I attended his class, I gained more and more insight into how to target each muscle group. He kept me accountable without being overbearing. A coach like him only comes around once in a long while. When I am back for another course in the future, I will also be back for pilates with Oliver. He is a gem!!!This was only my second time ever trying pilates and I am definitely addicted. I am already looking for a studio back home in Texas!Thank you Solidcore for giving me something to look forward every day!
August 22 · IsabelI wanted to share an honest review about my experience with this location, in the chance that it can help others.I had an excellent experience at another Solid Core location, and when I moved to this area I thought I'd give a membership a shot.I signed up for a 6 month membership. Shortly after signing up (less than a week after) I realized I wasn't as happy or comfortable with the environment that I had had at the other location. It may have been a me issue, but I put a request in on the app to cancel.I never received a follow up. I thought maybe I should just give it another shot. I let a few weeks go by and realized it still wasn't what I was looking for, I didn't feel as comfortable at this studio, and before the second month renewal date I requested to cancel again.I still did not receive a follow up. I then reached out over email to memberships@solidcore.co, to see why I hadn't been reached out to, as I saw they had issued another charge to my account.I was then contacted by someone who told me if I wanted to cancel I had to pay this month's fee, and next month's fee as part of the contract, or I had to just finish out my contract for 4 more months. I tried to explain that I had tried canceling a month ago, and that I didn't feel it was right to be charged for two months when it was their system error that caused this.I tried contacting the studio over the phone, and spoke with someone who was very kind, and able to put in a ticket.Soon after, I was called by someone who was in charge of "hospitality" at the studio, one of the managers, who told me she didn't understand why I had said I had a "terrible" experience and asked me to "specifically name what made me uncomfortable." I explained that I had never said it was a terrible experience- that it wasn't what I expected based on the other studio I had gone too. And that no one had done anything wrong, but this cancellation process is definitely frustrating to have to go through. She told me she couldn't help me with that, but hoped "HQ" could.I've since been contacted by 4 different Solid Core team members over email, all giving me different ways of saying that they can't help me.Today I was emailed saying that they won't cancel my membership until I agree to pay the cancellation fee that I've already paid.Hopefully no one else has to go through this experience.
February 13 · Gwen GannonI can't say enough good things about Solidcore Charlottesville! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, helping you push through each challenging workout with confidence. Every class is intense but so rewarding, and you can really feel yourself getting stronger with each session. The studio is clean, welcoming, and has a great energy that makes you want to come back. It’s the perfect mix of strength, endurance, and focus. Their community manager, Katlin, is a breath of fresh air and makes every workout so much fun. Highly recommend!
October 29 · Sarah DaleyI hadn't worked out in almost 15 years when I started solidcore, and actually wasn't interested in working out at all. I'm mid 30s, felt healthy, and just never found the joy in working out. I found solidcore because I knew my mom (50s) wanted a high intensity, low impact workout and thought we'd try this together. The first class we had to stop midway through, it was so hard 🤣 but after going back over to over 200 classes over the last year and change, I can't believe how much solidcore has not only improved my entire mindset, but my whole confidence and strength. Solidcore never talks about body image or shames you. It's all about practical strength and mental endurance. I've noticed even during mundane tasks I hear my coaches voice saying, "you can do hard things" and "you can do literally anything for at least 30 seconds", "you're so frickin strong", "you've got this!!" On top of that, it's basically the club, they turn the lights down and the music UP. If you're a millenial, you know we're living for this. Also, the Virgo queen manager, Katlin, is the biggest gem in Cville. I can't recommend solidcore enough!! They have a two week trial, everyone should try it, I swearr, even if you THINK you hate working out. I could write a 700 page essay on why you should try it 😪 Solidcore4L 💖
July 20 · Nadine GebekeIt took me a while to feel confident in the moves and flow of the classes. The feeling after a solid core class keeps bringing me back for more.
