This level of personalized care means that every movement, every session, is tailored to your specific body and its needs. This is not about a one-size-fits-all approach; it's about a custom-built fitness plan that evolves with you. Services Offered
At RNS Pilates & Movement, the focus is on quality over quantity, with a suite of services designed for serious, long-term results.
- Private, One-on-One Training: The core of the RNS experience is private training. This personalized approach allows your instructor to focus entirely on your form, your goals, and any specific physical issues you may have. This is particularly beneficial for those with pre-existing conditions or unique postural challenges, as the sessions are crafted to support and correct, rather than just exercise.
- Post-Class Follow-up: A unique and highly praised service is the post-class follow-up email. After each session, the instructor provides suggestions for exercises you can do at home. This reinforces what you learned in the studio and empowers you to continue your progress on your own, making your fitness journey a continuous effort rather than a one-hour-a-week event.
- Pilates & Movement Instruction: The studio specializes in Pilates but also incorporates a broader understanding of movement. This holistic approach helps clients not only strengthen their core but also improve their overall body awareness—how they sit at their desk, stand on the subway, or even sleep at night. It's an education in how your body works, not just a workout.
Features and Highlights
RNS Pilates & Movement sets itself apart with several key features that enhance the client experience and contribute to its excellent reputation.
- Clean and Well-Maintained Space: The studio is described by clients as "very clean and well taken care of." This attention to detail creates a professional and comfortable environment where you can focus entirely on your workout.
- Extensive Resource Library: A standout feature is the great library of books on Pilates and posture. Clients are free to borrow from this collection, allowing them to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the practice. It’s a testament to the studio's commitment to educating its clients, not just training them.
- Amenities and Accessibility: The studio includes a restroom for client use. It is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring that the space is welcoming to a wide range of individuals.
- Flexible Payment Options: For convenience, RNS accepts a variety of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, making transactions smooth and hassle-free.

What is Worth Choosing
For any New Yorker seeking a meaningful and lasting change in their physical health, RNS Pilates & Movement is a compelling choice. This isn't your average gym or a large, impersonal class setting. The value here lies in the long-term investment you make in yourself. The a-ha moments, like realizing how to sit better on the subway or at your desk, are a direct result of the personalized, knowledgeable training you receive. The instructor's deep expertise is evident in her ability to identify and work on your "weakest muscle groups," leading to a stronger, more balanced body over time. It’s a place for those who understand that true strength and flexibility are built with patience and consistency, not overnight.
In a city where everything moves fast, RNS Pilates & Movement offers a space to slow down, listen to your body, and build a stronger foundation. The testimonials from clients—like the one who felt a "real difference after the first year" and another who saw a "very different shape" to their body after six years—speak volumes. This is a studio for dedicated individuals who want more than just a quick workout; they want a transformation. The combination of expert guidance, a clean environment, and a focus on long-term results makes RNS Pilates & Movement a truly worthwhile choice for anyone in the New York area.

RNS Pilates & Movement Reviews
Training one-on-one with Rachel is like working out with Yoda in tights. It's not an easy ride, and she has no interest in smoothing over difficult truths. You'll probably be very sore in whatever your weakest muscle groups are for the first few months, but it will get better. It takes patience and doesn't feel like much work (until it does), but is worth sticking with: I only started feeling a real difference after the first year or so. Now, my body is a very different shape than it was six years ago. A++ would sign up again.
April 27 · Benjamin JacksonTraining with Rachel is amazing. She is very attentive to each student's specific issues. And after each class she follows up with an email suggesting exercises you can do at home. Her space is very clean and well taken care of, and she has a great library as well where you are free to borrow books about pilates and posture. She is easy to talk to and clearly knows a ton. It has totally changed my awareness - the way I sit on the subway, or my desk, and the position I sleep. I highly recommend her to all my friends.
