Renaissance Gymnastics Academy Introduce
For families in Rhode Island, finding a sports complex that provides not just a place to play, but a supportive and caring community for their children, is a top priority. Renaissance Gymnastics Academy (RGA) in East Providence stands out as a premier destination that offers exactly this. More than just a gymnastics center, RGA is a place where young athletes are encouraged to grow, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills. The academy prides itself on its professional yet genuinely kind staff, creating an environment that feels like a second family.
The atmosphere at RGA is consistently praised by parents for its cleanliness and welcoming nature. One long-time member, whose daughter has been attending since she could walk, shared, "We have been members at RGA since my daughter could walk, now 7, and have nothing but fantastic feedback to share." This parent emphasizes how "the facility is always clean and the teachers are awesome!" This attention to detail ensures a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.
A significant highlight for many families is the personal touch provided by the staff, particularly the owner, Miss Jen. One parent remarked that Miss Jen "has always made her self available, whether a child needs extra love before entering a class, encouraging her students and attentive to the parents needs and questions as well." This level of dedication and care goes beyond a typical business model and speaks to the academy's core values. Another review from a parent of a beginner gymnast noted that their daughter’s teacher, Lauren, is "very patient yet stern," which they appreciated as it balances discipline with a caring approach. This balance helps children learn and progress effectively.
The fact that the gym "NEVER smells like a gym" is another point of pride, as mentioned in a review, highlighting the commitment to cleanliness. This focus on maintaining a pristine environment, combined with the professional and caring staff, makes Renaissance Gymnastics Academy a special place for children to learn and thrive in the sport of gymnastics.

July 19 · Kendra MetaxasMy daughter has been going here now for 2 years great place. IT NEVER smells like a gym its very clean and the staff is super friendly. For those who don't know what open play is, its when kids run around play and use there imagination. There are staff there but they are more like monitors who sometime push or help kids when they need some assistance. My daughter also goes here for beginner gymnastics.. Its been great, her teacher Lauren is very patient yet stern which my wife and I love. We look forward to re in rolling her.
June 20 · D-LO “Himotoma”Recently started taking my two year old son here, and it's great! The staff is friendly, and my son has a wonderful time running around like a nut: jumping on the trampoline, playing with the balls, climbing the mats, walking (with my assistance) on the balance beam, etc. He also loves the quiet play area in reception with the toys, and is content to play there for an additional half hour after the gym. Best $20 I've spent in a long time!
April 25 · Lindsey GumbMy daughter has been attending RGA since she was 2 years old. When she first started she was very shy and really wanted nothing to do with the classes. My wife and I actually had to sit in the classes with her because she refused to participate in any of the activities unless we were next to her. The staff did a phenomenal job of working with my daughter and getting her to come out of her shell. Now, four years later she is on their competition team, doing great and loves gymnastics and loves her coaches. We can't wait to see what she will accomplish here in the future.Regarding the review about open play. I do not think the person fully understood what "Open Play" is. Think of it as taking your kids to Chuck E Cheese or Monkey Joes. The workers are there to enforce rules. These are not instructional periods. Depending on the age group, the parents do stay and watch their children. For the older age groups the children are free to practice and play on whatever equipment they wish. But again these are not actual classes, but are a great way to introduce your child to RGA, or just give them a place to blow off some steam for a few hours.
December 11 · Michael KreyssigStaff NOT super friendly - the younger staff need lessons on how to speak with the parents (rude). And don't bother trying to call ahead of time - no one ever answers the phone. Not a professionally run, customer service oriented business.
