What is Worth Choosing
For anyone in Georgia struggling with the cumulative effects of decades of activity—or inactivity—Reformed Atlanta offers a true solution, not a temporary fix. What is most compelling about choosing Reformed Atlanta is the depth of personalized expertise in functional movement and the mastery of the Gyrotonic® method, which is often described by clients as a "panacea" for issues like chronic back pain and stiffness.
The studio's strength lies in its founder, Hannah Whitlock, who combines her passion for movement with her formal education, including a nursing background from Emory, which provides an elevated understanding of the body's physiology. This combination ensures that the instruction is not just about aesthetics, but about intentional, mindful movement that heals. Clients—including lifelong athletes who had previously neglected stretching—have shared powerful testimony of regaining significant range of motion, finding ease in daily routines like putting on socks, and eliminating back pain after working with Hannah.
If you are an athlete, a runner, or simply an individual who feels a loss of flexibility and range of motion, and if you have found little effect from conventional treatments like chiropractic care or massage, the specific, integrated approach of Pilates and Gyrotonic training offered here is designed to target the deep core and spiral nature of the body’s movement. While the rates reflect a premium, specialized service, you are paying for one-on-one attention and a level of expert guidance that promises long-term results, transforming your body's functional capabilities. Reformed Atlanta Reviews
I first became familiar with Reformed Pilates while helping the owner to train her Sheepadoodle puppy. During one of the sessions we met at Reformed to work on Elsa becoming more calm and obedient when Hannah brought her to work. While engaged in the session I curiously investigated one of the many pieces of equipment. On a whim I asked Hannah, "How does this work?" Hannah then took a few minutes to show me a Gyrotonics machine and I really liked the effect. I immediately scheduled an appointment, whereby I became her client.I have been an avid weightlifter and runner for decades and in my youth I played college tennis and wrestled. But despite my dedication to fitness I neglected to invest ample time in stretching. Consequently, as the years went by I became less flexible, lost range of motion, suffered intermittent back injuries, had difficulty putting on my socks, and could barely touch my knees, nonetheless my toes. I tried ART at a chiropractor, chiropractic adjustments, and massage, with barely any effect. However, Gyrotonics with Hannah Whitlock has been a panacea.Previous to working with Hannah, I believed Pilates and Gyrotonics was for women. It is. But, it is also awesome for male athletes! Now that I have worked with Hannah for several months I can easily put on socks and touch my toes, I have significantly more range of motion in all joints, and back pain is a thing of the past. Hannah is a GREAT teacher- and I don't use the word "great" lightly. She is passionate, incredibly knowledgeable, structured, and fun. Moreover, Hannah looks the part. In her 40s she has the body of a 25-year old competitive gymnast or fitness competitor, which further proves that pilates and gyrotonics are effective workout modalities.I look forward each week to my Gyrotonics appointments. Furthermore, Hannah has motivated me to perform homework, whereby between sessions I make the time for additional stretching, where the motion corresponds to the Gyrotonics movements Hannah teaches me during our sessions.I HIGHLY recommend Hannah Whitlock and Reformed Pilates to any person, male or female, athlete or non-athlete, who wishes to improve flexibility, functional strength, core fitness, and general comfort going about daily routines.
