Orangetheory Fitness Introduce
For residents across the Illinois North Shore looking for a high-energy, results-driven workout that removes all the guesswork, Orangetheory Fitness in Glenview offers a scientifically-backed solution. Identified as a premier Gym, Fitness center, and Physical fitness program, Orangetheory is famous for its signature 60-minute, full-body workout. This unique approach is founded on Heart Rate Based Interval Training, designed to keep your heart rate in specific zones to achieve what they call the "Orange Effect."
The core objective is to spend 12-20 minutes in the Orange Zone (84–91% of your maximum heart rate), which triggers the Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) effect. Simply put, this process supercharges your metabolism, allowing you to burn calories and fat for up to 24 hours after your workout is complete. Every class is led by certified coaches who provide expert guidance, motivation, and modifications, making it feel like Group personal training. This Glenview location is highly regarded by its members for having some of the "Best trainers" and a remarkably "friendly and helpful staff," creating an atmosphere where every workout is guaranteed to be good. For those who thrive on structured, fast-paced, and energetic classes, Orangetheory Fitness is an excellent choice.
Orangetheory Fitness serves the North Shore community from its location at 1464 Waukegan Rd, Glenview, IL 60025, USA. This highly accessible address positions it well for local users traveling from Glenview, Northbrook, Deerfield, and surrounding suburbs.

The studio’s popularity often leads to packed classes, which a reviewer noted, may make the studio feel "tiny," but this also speaks to the strong demand and vibrant energy of the community that the Glenview location has built.
Orangetheory Fitness offers a dynamic, periodized Physical fitness program centered around the heart-rate-monitored group class structure. Each session is meticulously planned to cycle through three main components, ensuring a balanced, full-body workout focused on Endurance, Strength, or Power on any given day.
- Signature Orange 60 Class: The standard one-hour, full-body workout split across three main stations:
- Treadmill Blocks: Interval training focusing on power walking, jogging, or running at varying inclines and speeds (Base, Push, and All-Out paces) to elevate the heart rate. Bike and strider options are available for low-impact alternatives.
- Rowing Blocks: Full-body, low-impact work on WaterRowers, engaging up to 85% of the body’s muscles for both cardio and strength conditioning.
- Floor Blocks: Strength training, core work, and stability exercises using equipment like free weights (dumbbells), benches, TRX suspension trainers, and BOSU trainers.
- Specialized 50-Minute Classes: Shorter, focused classes to target specific fitness aspects:
- Tread 50: Designed to enhance cardiovascular endurance and running performance, focusing heavily on the treadmill blocks.
- Strength 50: Structured to focus on building lean muscle, functional strength, and enhancing metabolic efficiency through floor work and targeted resistance exercises.
- Group Personal Training / Coaching: Certified coaches lead every class, providing real-time motivation, ensuring proper form, and offering modifications for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced athletes.
- Technology-Tracked Performance: Utilizing proprietary heart rate monitors (OTbeat®), performance is displayed in real-time on in-studio screens, allowing members and coaches to track time in all five heart rate zones to ensure maximum efficiency and results.
The success and popularity of Orangetheory Fitness in Glenview and nationwide stem from its combination of science-backed methods and a high-touch, engaging experience.
- EPOC/Afterburn Effect: The workout is scientifically designed to achieve 12+ minutes in the Orange Zone (84–91% Max HR), which triggers Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption, leading to elevated calorie burn for up to 24 hours post-workout.
- Real-Time Heart Rate Monitoring: Members use the proprietary OTbeat heart rate monitor to see their performance on in-studio screens, offering instant, personalized feedback on intensity and effort.
- Certified Coach-Led Classes: Every session is supervised by a certified Personal trainer or coach who provides instruction, form correction, and ensures a safe, effective workout for everyone, regardless of fitness level.
- Versatile Equipment: The studio is outfitted with high-quality treadmills, WaterRowers, dumbbells, TRX straps, and other functional training tools to facilitate a varied and complete full-body session.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is my favorite gym- Best trainers, most friendly and helpful staff of all the Orange Theory gyms I've visited. Every time I workout here, I know it's gonna be good. The energy of the classes are awesome and the gym is comfortable and clean!
July 01 · Sasha Federiuk Burg (Sasha B.)Great coaches. Not my home gym. I drop in here from time to time from Northbrook or downtown gyms, but man is the studio tiny! Seems super popular with packed classes , could use a bigger space!
January 26 · Nilay ParikhI've been a member of this studio since 2016. Orangetheory is a great workout! I love that every workout is different. The formats for each workout keeping push you to become better. The coaches and staff are professional and friendly. I really appreciate the time they take to correct forms (esp. when weightlifting). Try one workout...you will become addicted!Updated review (10/2024): still an amazing workout!!
October 21 · Asha ChikaniI started Orange Theory 6 months ago and absolutely love it. It is the best workout that combines cardio and strength with outstanding daily workouts that stretch and push you differently each time. The coaches are outstanding, motivating and inspiring and the community is super fun. A great way to start the day and get in shape!
July 14 · julie winterFirst- The front staff is amazing!! They are so friendly when I walk in, know me by name and know where I like to start. It’s so great walking in and seeing so many smiling faces. Next- the coaches are great. It was a little different when Kathy and Sam left, but Cesar is amazing and has done a great job coaching. I like how he challenges me and wants me to do my best. Nhu and Haley have been great coaches too I hope to take more classes with them in future classes. I drive 25 minutes from the city just to go to this club.Michelle was a great coach and pushed everyone to do their best. I was very surprised about how organized and detailed the being was to describe the workout. And the TV to tell you the exercise and reps was so so helpful. As someone who forgets to count, this is one of the best features I have seen in a group workout setting. Everyone in the class was so nice and welcoming. We all gave each other high-fives when we got done with the workout.
