Orangetheory Fitness Introduce
For residents of Michigan who are serious about their fitness and looking for a program that delivers measurable results, Orangetheory Fitness in Grosse Pointe Woods offers a unique and scientifically-backed approach. We are more than a gym; we are a specialized physical fitness program built on the principle of heart rate-based interval training. Our mission is to provide an efficient and effective one-hour total-body workout that empowers you to achieve your fitness goals. The workouts are designed to push you into the "Orange Zone," where you can achieve the "afterburn" effect, known as Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC). This means you continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after your workout is complete. We are committed to helping you not only work out but to work out smarter, using data and expert guidance to maximize your effort and results.
What truly sets Orangetheory Fitness apart is the combination of technology, expert coaching, and a supportive community. Every class is led by a certified coach who guides you through three key stations: the treadmill, the water rower, and the weight floor. Wearing a heart rate monitor, you can see your performance in real-time on large screens, allowing you to track your intensity and ensure you're training in the right zones for your body. This personalized data, combined with the motivational atmosphere, helps you push your limits while staying safe and effective. The workouts are always different, which prevents you from hitting a plateau and keeps the experience fresh and engaging. Whether you are an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey, Orangetheory is designed to be accessible and effective for all fitness levels.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been a dedicated member of Orange Theory for quite some time, and I can't express how disheartening it was to see the departure of three amazing coaches who played a crucial role in my fitness journey. Their motivation, expertise, and personal touch made every workout enjoyable and effective. It's frustrating to lose the very people who inspired me to push my limits and achieve my goals. I hope the management reevaluates its decisions, as the strength of a fitness community lies in its coaches. Without them, I feel the experience has diminished considerably.
June 21 · Hira ChaudharyYesterday they laid off one of the best coaches in the gym for the stupidest reasons. I’ve been going there for years and Dani is the only coach I and all my friends train with. This was extremely disappointing and a horrible management decision. Who thought it was a good idea to fire the number 1 coach in the gym, not to mention coach of the year. If you call this good management, then I’m a super model. This will cost them members and reputation. Very disappointed in what they think is a sorry excuse for management. You just lost a member.
June 19 · Bob MillerI absolutely love this place! I have had 3 sessions so far and I’m already feeling great about myself. One thing that I truly love are the instructors, and that it’s a structured workout in a sense. I have always struggled going to the gym, not knowing what to do because of all of the equipment; but here I know what to expect. They give me the motivation to do better and be better as I’m on my journey to better health and losing weight. It is definitely worth it.
March 13 · Brittany FedrukI’ve gone to this location a few times now. Tonight (12/11) I was unfortunately 5 minutes late to my class— I’m typically always punctual but life happens. My friend had already signed me in and alerted the front desk worker of my imminent arrival. That same girl was extremely rude to me as I walked in, telling me to “hurry up”and “get in class”. As I was trying to get my stuff (including my work laptop) in the locker I was having issues locking it so I had to move my stuff to another available locker, the worker starts yelling and threatening that she’s going to lock me out of class?! I’ve NEVER dealt with such rude and disrespectful behavior at Orangetheory before. The trainer was great and didn’t have any issue with me being a little late. The entire class the same girl who yelled at me kept giving me dirty looks and I caught her staring at me multiple times while I was working out. It made my whole session extremely uncomfortable. The other front desk worker was very sweet, and wished us a great evening at the end of class.Since the front desk workers are also sales associates, I hope they know that how they treat and interact with their clients matters. I love Orangetheory, but I’m most likely not going to be coming back to this location because of the hostility that I felt.
