★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not terrible if you live within 10 minutes. The roof has many holes so be careful on days when it has rained. When equipment breaks they usually won’t fix it for 6 months if at all. I pay $25 a month.
May 19 · Karl MeyerI don’t even know exactly where to start with this gym. I went to work out in the morning and found that no one attended the front desk whatsoever. I waited for 5-10 minutes, and no one came to attend to the desk. Because of this, I walk on by to get a workout in. Once I had placed my belongings in one of the lockers, I looked around and realized their machine section was pretty bare in choices compared to other gyms in the area, which sucked. Their free weight section is decent, nothing crazy, but it'll get the job done. It'd look better if they had more mirrors on the wall. Returning to the machines, the machines are highly used, and this comes from somebody who is used to warehouse-like gyms. The state of the machines is simply sad to describe at best. I didn't use the cardio machines, but like with all the equipment in the gym, it looks dated. There are other “rooms” in the gym, but they look like run-down rooms that haven't been kept up. Throughout the middle of my workout, I just had to leave simply because of the depressing state the gym was in. Also, as I was leaving, no one was still at the front desk. Looking back at this experience with Odenton Fitness, it wasn't anything of anger or frustration but pure disappointment and a shock in such a state a gym could be in. I say disappointment because the amount of potential this gym has is ridiculous. The building they are situated in is perfect sq ft wise and has a garage door, which most gym goers love, but whatever is going on with management isn't allowing this gym to grow. It is unfortunate to see a gym with potential to be in such a state where it has you thinking no one works there/forgotten about.
February 14 · Roberto HunchoGotta stop letting the young guys in for free. The gym is already a ran down budget gym which is perfectly fine. But add in the obnoxiously loud young dudes who don’t pay and are just playing around? Makes the gym bad man.
January 14 · Iv CHave tried several times to cancel my membership (after my initial contract was up and had stated I do not want to renew) and they have not done so. I’ve contacted multiple times by email and once by phone when I was lucky enough for them to pick up the phone. Judging by the other reviews, this is not an uncommon experience. Here’s hoping a public review will have some impact
July 11 · A PersonStrongly advise against joining this gym. Like many others here, this gym kept charging me after I canceled my membership. I joined this gym to work out with a friend of mine who was a long time member of this gym. When I joined, I had a conversation with the owner, (with my friend present) that I wanted to work out there to get in shape while I received my COVID vaccinations. I stated my intention to work out at the gym short term while I received my COVID vaccinations, at which point I intended to return to my martial arts gym. She told me that was no problem, I could cancel whenever I wanted to, but that she needed a contract on everyone who worked out there for insurance purposes. (She stated that especially since I was friends with the long time member, she'd be happy to accommodate my needs) I took her at her word. So when I canceled my membership, she continued to charge me, and when I canceled payment on my credit card, I started getting calls that my account was delinquent. I tried calling and leaving messages for her several times to discuss, by she never returned my calls. (No one else there handles billing) Now I have received a letter that my account has been sent to collections. All of this is extremely frustrating, and I feel as though I was deliberately lied to. I won't even get into the poor quality of the facility, equipment, and loud inappropriate music that gets played there...the bottom line is that this gym and their business practices are absolutely substandard. They have an "F" from Better Business Bureau for a reason. I wish I had looked them up on BBB before dealing with them.
