★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was visiting from out of town and the team at this Life Time was great. I wish I lived here because this gym was beautiful. It just reminded me why I will stay a lifetime member. The pool area was beautiful. The fitness floor was clean lots of room and I even went to the café and had lunch. LifeTime is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it.
April 03 · Patrice BoxleyThis is a review of the swim coaching. Just did a private swim lesson with Jo Jo and was excellent. Quick discussion on what I was working towards and then got straight into it. We made sooo much progress it was amazing. Jo Jo's a fun guy and great at explaining concepts. I enjoyed his car analogies, they all made sense and I'll remember them. The pool is quite small but for a lesson on technique I'd say it's ideal because you save time and energy. For me , I was trying to improve efficiency for longer open water swims and long pool swims for triathlon and that one lesson has set me up perfectly. Once I've got some miles under my belt I'll return again to take it to the next level. Thanks Jo Jo, great session!
August 24 · RABTHIS ISN’T A ATHLETIC COUNTRY CLUB IT’S A MASTERCLASS IN ABSURDITY!I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for years. I’ve been in and around some of the most exclusive venues in Saint-Tropez, Miami, Cannes, Paris, Dubai… and never not once have I seen a policy as unreasonable as the one this gym enforces.$330/month membership, and then I’m asked to pay an additional $250 just to access the rooftop pool. And today a perfect Sunday where I finally carved out a moment for myself (after working 7 days a week non-stop) to relax, read, and enjoy the sun I’m told I need to pay another $150 if I want to use the pool on the weekend.IT’S A JOKE !?At that price point, I expect the full luxury club experience: a DJ, food & beverage service, champagne options, elegant paper menus, a dedicated champagne list, trained staff, real ambiance something that actually makes me want to spend my money.Instead?A few lounge chairs. A pool. That’s it. Not exactly impressive, to be honest. Now let’s talk about the staff: untrained, uninformed, clearly uncomfortable when it comes to explaining the gym’s own internal policies. Every time I asked a question, I got the same reply:“It’s my first day.”And here’s the best part I heard that four times in three weeks… from the SAME person. The audacity is next-level. I get it, the gym sees a lot of members, but telling a regular member four times that it’s your first day? That’s prank-show material. Someone cue the hidden cameras.I guess it’s a tactic to avoid having to face clients when the rules are indefensible. Please, take the time to revisit your policies, your understanding of “luxury”, and most importantly, what real hospitality actually means. There are other gyms in NYC at the same price point that provide far better service, without trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their members with nonsensical add-ons.And if you’re struggling to understand what serving a high-end clientele truly looks like, feel free to reach out.You can drop your email as a reply to this review, or contact me directly.I’d be happy to offer you a personalized audit, or even set up a meeting to show you how to double your revenue by applying a few simple, hospitality-based principles without having to frustrate your members with absurd and counterproductive ideas.PS : The photo added to the commentary shows you your empty pool on a Sunday afternoon under a spike of heat and a great sun by the cause of your absurd choices.
July 20 · Reda JacksonMixed Experience - Great Facility, Poor Management CommunicationWe've been members for nearly two years and have generally loved this gym - the facilities, amenities, and overall experience have been excellent. However, our recent attempt to rent a cabana exposed some serious communication and customer service issues that left us disappointed.I tried to book a cabana rental a full week in advance for a friend's birthday celebration on what would be a slow Monday. Despite multiple attempts through the booking system provided by management, I never received any confirmation emails. When we followed up in person and by phone, we got inconsistent information and were passed between different staff members - front desk to management to pool to cafe and back again, with no resolution. The most frustrating part was discovering that the manager responsible for cabana rentals was actually on-site during one of our visits but reportedly "luxuriating" and unavailable to help paying members trying to spend over $400. We waited 30 minutes for assistance that never came. After a week of this runaround, we had to make alternative plans. When we did show up with our guests using day passes, planning to spend $200+ on food and drinks instead, we were treated poorly despite the booking system issues being acknowledged. Staff insisted on additional guest fees even on a slow day with bad weather, showing no consideration for the week of poor service we'd already experienced. What's most disappointing is that this could have been easily resolved with basic communication and customer service. A simple phone call, email confirmation, or manager availability would have turned a loyal member's special celebration into positive word-of-mouth instead of this review. The facility itself remains great, but management needs to address these operational and communication issues before they damage what has otherwise been a positive member experience.
June 17 · Seth MageeThe lifetime of sky is really nice especially in the pool where you can view the skyline from the pool. And every person was very friendly nice and nice staff. My only problem was I wish the spa area whirlpool and saunaSteemroom and cold plunge were in locker rooms.
