This particular location offers a range of services designed to cater to various fitness goals, from weight training and cardio to specialized classes and personal training.
This gym is often highlighted as one of the better LA Fitness locations within the city. Patrons consistently praise its cleanliness and the high quality of its equipment, which makes for a more pleasant and effective workout experience. Unlike some of its counterparts, this facility is noted for its friendly and helpful staff, creating a more positive environment for members. The availability of equipment is a major plus, as it minimizes wait times and allows members to move through their routines efficiently.
Beyond the weights and treadmills, this LA Fitness location offers a variety of premium amenities that enhance the fitness journey. The presence of a swimming pool and a sauna provides opportunities for low-impact exercise and post-workout relaxation, which are highly valued by members. While a former employee review brought to light some serious concerns about the company's corporate culture and its impact on staff well-being, members’ experiences with this specific location's facilities and atmosphere are largely positive. The focus on member experience, combined with a comprehensive offering of services and amenities, positions this gym as a strong contender for anyone in the Chicago area looking for a new fitness home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is one of the better LA Fitness locations in Chicago. It's noticeably cleaner than the average gym and the staff is friendly and helpful. The equipment is surprisingly high quality, and you can usually find it available. The gym is less crowded than expected, and the pool is a great added bonus. The only minor inconvenience is the journey to the locker room, which requires navigating a number of stairs.
August 21 · D ArmstrongI am a former employee I was the PTD (PERSONAL TRAINER DIRECTOR) #1 in the company! Made the company a lot of money! And honestly that’s all the company cares about! My mental and physical health was on the line. There are incidents that people died while working! This company has that type of impact on people! It’s sad! This company feel it is above it all! They disrespect their clients and employees! Disregard HR and the code of conduct and literally does what they want! It really does takes mental toughness! I was diagnosed with mental illness and it something I will have to battle with for the rest of my life! Worst experience in my entire life two thumbs down! God Bless!
September 04 · Romaine WareThe only reason I visited this one on a regular basis is because South Loop is ALWAYS CROWDEDI have given this place a chance and it is OVERDUE. If a person has Medicare, you will find almost anybody in this gym. Some women that come into the locker room really made me feel uncomfortable. I found roaches on the toilet seat in the bathroom. The elevator is always broken. Walking up stairs here is a workout and can be a painRandolph location is always under construction. Hot tub is not warm at all, very dirty. Entrance elevator smells like urine. Bring your own towels btw.
March 03 · Ashley Goodrich-Parking is at 5 S colombus drive (enter on left side where it says millenium side) 5 minute walk to the Fitness Center.-Do not lose parking ticket. You need a validation sticker from LA fitness reception. (Although I lost my parking ticket, I scanned my validation and chose lost ticket at the exit and it worked)-parking validation $5 a day (for 3 hours) or $10 a month (for 3 hours everyday). So if you are a regular monthly pass is a good idea.-Pool and Jakuzzi closed 30 minutes before the location closing time.-there are body wash, shampoo and conditioner at the bathrooms.
March 03 · NDon’t bother even going if you’re planning on using the three day free pass if you’ve just moved here! You’ll sign up, take a bus ride / uber (which costs money), get there; and they’re going to ask you for an Illinois state ID, which virtually no one has if they’ve moved from out of state. Virtually any gym if they were hospitable would have just allowed the guest to workout for just that day. Don’t pay the daily fee, they do it on purpose. Waste of my time and money, even when I was willing to eventually purchase a membership.
