JP Centre Yoga Introduce
For those of us in the Boston area, particularly in the vibrant and diverse neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, finding a yoga studio that feels like a true community hub is a special discovery. JP Centre Yoga is not just a place to practice yoga; it's a well-established sanctuary known for its strong sense of community, expert instruction, and a genuine commitment to making yoga accessible to everyone. With over three decades of experience in different studios, one longtime Boston yogi called it the "Best center in Boston," a testament to its enduring quality and welcoming atmosphere. The studio is a beloved fixture in Jamaica Plain, celebrated for its beautiful, light-filled spaces and a serene ambiance that allows for deep focus and relaxation. This studio stands out from the competition by focusing on the core principles of yoga, fostering a non-competitive environment where students of all levels can thrive. Whether you are a brand new beginner or have been practicing for years, JP Centre Yoga offers a wide variety of classes designed to meet you where you are. The mission is to provide a nurturing and empowering space for every student, blending vigorous physical practice with a mindful and non-judgmental approach.
The journey to peace begins the moment you find your way to the studio, and JP Centre Yoga's location in Jamaica Plain makes it a convenient spot for many. The studio is situated at 670 Centre St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130, a bustling area with plenty of local businesses and a lively community feel. It's easily accessible by public transportation, with stops for the 39 and 41 bus routes right on Centre Street and the Green Street Orange Line T stop just an 8-10 minute walk away. For those who prefer to drive, there is free street parking available on Centre Street, though it can be hit or miss. The studio also highlights a much more reliable option: a free City of Boston Municipal Lot #6 on Burroughs Street, located just a short 2-3 minute walk away. It's important to note that the studio is located on the third floor of a historic building with no elevator, which may pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. However, once inside, the space is designed for comfort. The studio itself is spacious, with 14-foot high ceilings and a surplus of natural light that creates a bright and airy atmosphere. The studio is equipped with Wi-Fi and restrooms for your convenience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great classes, Daniel Max is fabulous, many other great classes , nice studios and atmosphere. I highly recommend JPCentre yoga. Best center in Boston and I have taken classes for over 30 years in different studios.
May 14 · Luciana WhiteI love this place! Jill Rodgers is my favorite instructor - absolutely incredible. The natural light in the studios is gorgeous, and I feel at peace just staring out the windows while waiting for practice to start. Best studio in town.
May 26 · Timothy DeerAndrea is one of the best teachers I've taken classes with in Boston area. Her attention to detail when it comes to alignment has helped me make a lot of progress while protecting my joints from any injuries. Her creative ways of exploring the poses and activating each muscle needed for the final pose helps a lot with the understanding of pose. She would usually tell a story at the start of the class and would sometimes refer back to it during rest of the classes. Also the 90 min format gives a lot of time to explore the poses and the class doesn't feel rushed.I'll highly recommend her classes.
June 25 · Abhishek JindalHenri was great! Very inclusive of the needs of different bodies in different stages of healing and offered a very trans and queer supportive space. The physical space was also gorgeous and I appreciated the climate control.
July 04 · Courtney MullerJP centre yoga is the best yoga studio I have ever been a part of. So down to earth, offering classes that reflect an authentic respect and reverence for the practice. The community of people there is wonderful. I’m so thankful JPCY exists!
