It's a facility dedicated to supporting the health and performance goals of service members, their families, and authorized civilians. What makes this center truly stand out is its commitment to providing not just equipment, but a holistic approach to fitness, as noted in a review that highlights the excellent staff and resources. This gym is designed to cater to a wide range of fitness needs, from daily physical training (PT) sessions to specialized programs. Its integration with the Army Wellness Center is a key feature, offering scientifically-backed resources to help individuals optimize their health. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming, making it an excellent place for anyone serious about their fitness journey in Washington.
The Jensen Human Performance Center is located on the main post of Fort Lewis at S Division St, Fort Lewis, WA 98433, USA. As a facility on a military installation, access is restricted to individuals with a valid military or Department of Defense ID. This on-base location is a significant convenience for those who are authorized to use it, as it eliminates the need for an off-base commute. The facility is situated in a central area, making it a straightforward destination for many on the base. Accessibility is a key feature of the center, designed to accommodate all members of the community. It boasts a wheelchair accessible entrance, a wheelchair accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair accessible restroom, ensuring that individuals with mobility challenges can use the facility comfortably and safely. This commitment to inclusivity reflects the center's mission to serve its entire community. The straightforward address and well-known location on base make it easy to find, allowing patrons to focus on their workout without any hassle.
The services offered at the Jensen Human Performance Center are extensive and cater to a wide range of fitness disciplines. In addition to a wide array of cardio equipment and a Life Fitness Strength Circuit, the center also features an indoor track, allowing for running or walking regardless of the weather. As one review notes, this is a major benefit for anyone who enjoys running or wants to get in their daily steps. The facility is also a hub for a variety of fitness classes, though specific schedules can change and are best checked on the official MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) website or Facebook page. A standout service at this center is its connection to the Army Wellness Center. This is a unique and valuable resource that provides scientifically designed nutrition and exercise programs. The Army Wellness Center offers services like body composition analysis, resting metabolic rate (RMR) assessments, and fitness testing to create individualized plans for a variety of health goals, including weight management and injury prevention. This holistic and data-driven approach is a significant part of the center's offerings, going beyond what a typical gym provides.
- Sauna: The facility includes a sauna, which is an excellent amenity for relaxation and muscle recovery after a strenuous workout.

Lots of equipment and an indoor track make this facility an excellent place to go to for fitness. May 08 · James ClevengerI regularly go here for my PT. It's a pretty good gym. One thing I wish they had is a bigger astro turf to do drag exercises. Other than that, it's really good. They have lots of lockers and a decent shower area.
September 03 · Jose Hamtig JRWay less crowded than Wilson, with the huge added perk of having the indoor track.I am not a fan of treadmills, nor am I a fan of running in the wet and cold, so this is perfect.
November 19 · ShoeNice little gym that has all the necessary equipment. Plus, it doesn’t get too busy.
March 18 · Isaac ShinGreat gym. A lot of squat Racks.
