It's Yoga Kids Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For California families prioritizing wellness, movement, and mindful education for their children, finding a dedicated and professional resource can be paramount. It's Yoga Kids, based in the beautiful, natural setting of San Francisco, stands out as a specialized yoga studio that uniquely blends instruction for young practitioners with comprehensive training for educators. This organization is not a typical adult-focused studio; it is expertly tailored to foster growth and joy in children through the practice of yoga, a vital offering for the health-conscious communities across the Golden State.
Operating under an innovative model of "Outdoors + Online," It's Yoga Kids is designed to meet the modern needs of busy California parents and educational professionals. Whether your family seeks the grounding experience of an outdoor class surrounded by nature or the flexibility and convenience of virtual sessions from your home, this studio provides high-quality, specialized instruction. Their philosophy centers on making yoga accessible, fun, and deeply beneficial for kids, ensuring that every session is not just a lesson, but an adventure in self-discovery. Furthermore, their commitment extends beyond children, offering robust teacher certification programs that help grow the next generation of highly-qualified children's yoga instructors, a service that significantly contributes to the educational landscape of California.
The studio's dedication to quality is evident in the enthusiastic feedback from clients, including professionals who have benefited from their specialized training. One preschool teacher noted a session was a "lovely blend of self-care, inspiration, and practical ideas we could take into the classroom directly," underscoring the studio's dual focus on individual practice and professional enrichment. This focus on actionable, practical application is a hallmark of the high standards California residents expect from local professional development and wellness services.
Location and Accessibility
It's Yoga Kids offers a truly Californian experience by utilizing an innovative and flexible location structure: Outdoors + Online. While they maintain a physical address at 569 Ruger St in San Francisco, CA 94129, the core of their offerings embraces the stunning natural environment that the Bay Area provides, notably through outdoor sessions in the iconic Presidio. This "Outdoors" aspect is a significant draw for local users, allowing children to connect with nature—hiking, playing, and practicing yoga amidst the fresh air and scenic beauty—which is a well-known therapeutic benefit widely embraced in California's wellness culture. The review from a parent whose 4-year-old "had a blast hiking, learning yoga, and coloring with new friends in an outdoor environment" perfectly illustrates the unique value of this nature-integrated approach.
The hybrid "Outdoors + Online" model ensures that geographical constraints are minimized for families across the wider California region. The availability of online classes means that families outside of San Francisco can still access the studio's specialized children's yoga expertise, making it a truly regional resource. For onsite services and the physical location, accessibility is a key priority. The studio proudly offers a Wheelchair accessible entrance, a crucial amenity for ensuring that all families, regardless of mobility requirements, can participate in their programs or access administrative services. This dedication to inclusivity is a testament to the studio's commitment to serving the entire community. When visiting the physical site or attending an outdoor event, users can also be assured of basic comforts, as the location includes a Restroom amenity. The ability to pay with Credit cards also adds a layer of convenience and professionalism, streamlining the process for busy California parents managing multiple schedules.

August 18 · Jordan Smith FriasMichelle is an incredible teacher - her passion for bringing mindful movement and yoga to kids of all ages is inspiring. IYK Warrior I training was one of the best yoga trainings I have been to. Her 20 years of building an incredible kids yoga program is evident in the way that she approaches teaching her training classes - such a master class. I look forward to continuing to learn from Michelle and IYK.
June 24 · Fiorella DrozdLet me recommend Michelle Wing, a superb family yoga leader. The two times she’s presented for us here at the Richmond Public Library, our audiences have been delighted and asked for her return. Michelle has years of practice and study. She’s devoted to what she does. Classes combine play, health, and bonding and are a special experience for all!
November 12 · AmyI was so happy to find Michelle's Yoga camp for kids June 2024. Unlike most camps she offers one day, two days, etc. or the whole week. My daughter is 8 and she enjoyed it. They did yoga and enjoyed a beautiful outdoor area with ducks, geese and a really pretty pond. Michelle is super nice. I'm glad i know about It's Yoga Kids and look forward to taking classes with her as a family and future summer camps.
