★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I needed to find a new gym when my old gym closed. My old gym was ALWAYS empty, I was alone, I liked it because I was nervous to workout with other people around. That gym closed and I had to find a new one, decided on ironworks. The first couple times I was super nervous working out around people for the first time in a new gym. As time went on I realized that not one person is judging in there. The majority are very knowledgeable lifters who are more than happy to give advice or a spot. The vibes are immaculate. If you are serious about working out this is the place for you. This is not a corporate gym with 3 rows of treadmills and 1 bench press, there’s plenty of equipment for multiple people to do doing the same thing.
November 29 · NATE HrehorGritty & timeless powerlifting gym! I absolutely love it here. It has power racks, specialty bars, atlas stones, sleds, belt squat, dumbbells, cables, machines and some cardio equipment. It has 4 separate sections to train in so it’s not too noisy and offers some privacy if you’re a shy one. Turf area and surprisingly a MMA section if you want to hit a heavy bag or roll with a partner. It’s 24/7 but if you want to join you’ll have to apply on their website and make an appointment to come in and sign up. Staff is welcoming and helpful, the prices are fair for what they offer. Highly recommend!
March 25 · Jordan HusarCoach Dickie is a great coach and a solid, kind and generous human being. If you're in the Binghamton area and are looking to train in jiu jitsu, I would highly recommend giving his classes a try.
January 07 · jerry martinThis gym is truly fantastic. I was a short-term member while visiting with my in-laws over the holidays and it's an impressive facility. Very welcoming, while still maintaining an old-school weightroom ethos that is hard to find these days. It's clear that the members care about building a supportive community, regardless of one's fitness goals. Loved the Flannel Fridays!Really wish this was my everyday gym and looking forward to my next visit to the in-laws--phenomenal gym!
August 26 · Mark PannyThis gym is one of the best gyms in this area. It is not very packed so it’s quiet. I always get a good workout when I’m here and take full advantage of all the machines, weights etc that the gym has.It is open 24/7 and is not very expensive. It is big on power lifting and has a good variety of machines. The workers there and nice and helpful. One thing I like is that the gym is secure. Only people with memberships can get in by a finger print pad which I like. This means the gym is safe and it helps with it not being so packed.Jenna
