Gold's Gym Tigard Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For Oregonians seeking a serious, well-equipped facility to pursue their health and fitness goals, Gold's Gym Tigard stands as a prominent choice in the Portland metropolitan area. Located conveniently near the bustling commercial hubs that connect Tigard and Portland, this gym is part of a globally recognized brand that has been a cornerstone in the fitness industry since 1965, known historically as the 'Mecca of Bodybuilding.'
Gold's Gym Tigard aims to bring this world-class legacy to local residents, offering a comprehensive fitness environment that caters to a wide spectrum of users. From dedicated strength trainers and powerlifters to individuals just beginning their wellness journey, the facility provides an expansive floor of equipment and specialized services. The fundamental mission is to empower members to achieve their best physical self through results-driven programs and a supportive community atmosphere.
The experience at this Tigard location is designed to be a significant upgrade from generic, minimal-service gyms. Public feedback often highlights the superior variety of equipment, which is noted as being both modern and well-maintained in contrast to some other regional chains. While all gyms must manage the challenges of heavy member traffic, Gold's Gym Tigard offers substantial space and resources to reduce wait times and enhance the overall workout quality.
It is important to note for new users that membership is required to access the facility, which ensures a dedicated and invested clientele, contributing to an environment where members are generally "focused and mainly stick to themselves," as one user observed—a benefit for those who prefer a productive, distraction-free workout.

Gold's Gym Tigard is worth choosing for Oregonians who prioritize comprehensive facilities and a wide range of specialized equipment, especially those focused on strength training and progressive fitness. For many, it strikes a favorable balance between cost and quality, providing a premium experience that avoids the 'dingy interiors' and 'crappy machines' reported at some competing budget gyms.
The extensive array of equipment minimizes the frustration of waiting for popular stations, making your workout time more efficient. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I don’t know what everybody else is complaining about, this place is great for the price! I had previously been going to a small private gym in downtown LO. Their facilities were very nice, but the equipment was dated and lacking in variety. I initially checked out 24 hour and LA fitness, both of which had dingy interiors, weird vibes, crappy machines, and minimal variety. I was so happy to find golds! It’s a great price for the variety of equipment, which seems to be maintained well. The bathrooms are clean. Clientele is focused and mainly sticks to themselves. Friendly staff. Cons- I wish there was a women’s only sauna!
August 19 · Danielle KaiserGolds has been really taking a deep dive lately. The cleaning crew quit several weeks ago and it is really starting to show. The equipment is hardly ever wiped down. Several broken machines The Bathrooms have almost become hazardous and in need of a deep cleaning. I never see the paid staff cleaning at all. i hate being the bad guy but somebody gotta say it. These photos will speak for themselves.
September 08 · TBallWhere to start… when I first started coming here it was nice and clean. Not the case as of late! If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would!Over the last month it has become disgusting. It doesn’t seem to have been cleaned in the last month!Locker room- Moldy gunk build up in the showers, over flowing trash cans, broken locker room doors!Restrooms - dark floor staining, along with mystery brown stains on the floor. Pubic hair and gunk on the back of all toilet seats, bathrooms constantly out of toilet paper! I would rather use a porta potty on a construction site on a 110 degree day then use a bathroom at Golds Gym!Equipment is constantly broken and takes weeks to fix.I would expect a lot more from a gym that charges almost $50 a month!
September 23 · Jacob FoglioThere's not a single fan in the entire gym. There's central air that appears to be unused. The whole place is like a disgusting sauna. It's also a bring your own cable accessories type of place. They have very few but the machine seems generally unused so you have your pick of the limited selection to improvise.I was the only person aside from th cleaning staff who was wiping things down.A bunch of machines were unlabeled and I suspect no one knows what they do because one person offered to show me what a labeled machine does and when I told him I was actually trying to figure out the unlabeled machine next to it he said "oh" and put his headphones back on. Plus I didn't see anyone using them for the hour or so I was there. The bathrooms use heater dryers instead of paper towels and the one I used had poop streaks on the toilet bowl.I would never come back if it wasn't sometimes more convenient. This is also all ironically hilarious given that golds gym is always a fashion show. A bunch of wanna be influencers in matching sets in a muggy poop streaked facility....yup. I can't wait for my membership to expire.
April 09 · Linda NBeen going here since it opened several times a week. The equipment that can wear (wrapped foams on seats/leg extension/curl and everything) is getting pretty worn out. They need to reupholster the stuff everyone uses very soon. I used to tell my friends to join because it had the best equipment (gym80 is good), but I don’t say that anymore as your legs and hairs will be getting pinched on most seats/machines.Sauna is janky and always getting laughable wood repairs. 75% of ppl use sauna here, they don’t put any thought into maintaining it.It’s very conveniently located for me, not gonna switch up just yet.
