Why is Fyra Yoga worth choosing? It is a studio with a clear sense of identity and purpose. Its dedication to inclusivity, as an LGBTQ+ and women-owned business, creates a safe and welcoming space that is not always easy to find. The provision of military discounts and accessibility features for wheelchair users further highlights its commitment to serving a diverse clientele. While some feedback has noted changes in class structure and heat regulation since its rebranding, particularly in the hot yoga classes, the studio continues to evolve its offerings. The experience, as reported by some long-term patrons, has shifted from a gentle, meditative flow to a more intense, workout-focused practice, which may appeal to those looking for a challenging session. This change, while not for everyone, has led to a new class menu and a focus on building a strong core and adding new elements like "Sculpt" classes.
The honest feedback from the community provides a balanced view. While some patrons have expressed concerns about the intensity and lack of ventilation in the heated classes, leading to an overly hot and sometimes unpleasant experience, others might find this level of heat and intensity precisely what they are looking for in a hardcore workout. The perception of the instructors and the shift from a more traditional "Modo" aura to a "general fitness" style also speaks to the studio's evolution. If you are seeking a rigorous, sweat-inducing workout, the new direction of Fyra Yoga might be a perfect fit. If your preference is for a more traditional, gentle flow with a strong meditative component, you may want to visit and assess if the new style aligns with your personal practice goals.
Ultimately, Fyra Yoga stands out for its strong community values and its inclusive and supportive environment. Its prime location, combined with a variety of classes and a commitment to accessibility, makes it a noteworthy option for anyone in the New York area looking for a new yoga studio. Whether you are seeking a vigorous workout or a place to connect with a supportive community, Fyra Yoga invites you to explore its space and find your flow.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Not the yoga experience for me. While I enjoyed taking classes here for a brief time, I find other studios offer a greater variety/value. My largest deterrent from returning to the hot yoga classes, was the poor ventilation system. There is no relief if the class gets too hot, the fan in the studio only blows “cool” air for an incredibly brief time if the instructor chooses to turn it on. I have genuinely never come close to passing out in a heated class, though this was a real concern for me while taking classes in this space. Without having proper ventilation/heat release between classes, the studio also smelled much worse than other heated spaces I’ve taken classes in routinely
June 29 · Hope CusanoUnfortunately this isn’t the same since it was Modo though they’ve tried to lead members to believe the changes are minimal. I’ve taken close to 200 classes and for the last several weeks I’ve been unable to complete a class due to insufferable heat with no ventilation. The new instructors don’t possess the OG Modo aura and seem more like general fitness instructors. Classes begin with isolated core work versus a gentle warm up into the flow. Seems like they’re becoming just another hardcore workout studio, adding a new “Sculpt” class and rebranding the menu. Seeking a new studio in Williamsburg that captures what yoga should feel like because this isn’t it.
August 19 · Danielle BittsIt was my first time today but I’m already in love with this place ! I went for Yin yoga. My teacher Micheal was absolutely amazing, his calming voice and music selection made me feel very relaxed. Everybody is so welcoming, the space is very clean and aesthetic. I really appreciate they have code lockers so I don’t have to worry about my belongings.Thank you modo for convincing me to hot yoga :)
July 24 · Dominika DobranowskaAmazing studio full of great people. Wonderful instructors, tons of classes (with lots of variety), and beautiful, clean studios! I have learned so much from the team here. We are so lucky to have such a great place to practice in the neighborhood—can't imagine going anywhere else!
December 23 · Olivia LaskowskiThis review is long overdue!! I've been going to Modo many years now and the Williamsburg studio is one of my happy places (but both locations are great!!) All of the teachers are outstanding, reception is always friendly and welcoming, studio and locker room so clean. Highly recommend!!
