★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I walked into Foundation after a year of CrossFit experience and, while I had no illusions that I was a master at it, I thought I was doing pretty good. I was getting through (most) classes at my previous gym without ending up on the floor and had just done Festivus, so I walked in thinking I was on my way to "competition ready." Owners Andrew and Tony and their amazing staff of coaches quickly showed me how far I still needed to go and that I wasn't adequately challenging myself. Their programming was next level for me and every class was a schooling both in technique and in regards to what I am personally capable of. I purchased personal training sessions with Coach Ron Hook and he has helped me to level up considerably since I started with him 6 months ago. His professionalism and honed technical skills are apparent in just one class with him, but he has a super supportive, friendly, and an extremely patient approach that compliments his practical knowledge perfectly. He taught me that you aren't pushing yourself hard enough if you DON'T end up on the floor and so that's where I ended every session. The community in this gym is exactly what I've been looking for. It takes time as it does with all groups of people, but I was eventually taken in by a positive atmosphere of friendship and people who support others in their goals. The other members are the kind of goal oriented, driven people that have me getting to class early and hanging around after just so I can catch up and see how their weeks are going. Join this gym and make sure you thank me when you see me there everyday! And, no, Atlas isn't a horse!!
December 22 · Steven PoolStarted as a full beginner; was never really athletic in my life; Foundation has completely changed that.Every coach is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and they’re the perfect instructors to help you learn how to safely get into weightlifting.Everyone at the gym has also been very welcoming and inclusive - no shame in being the slowest in the class!
December 19 · Adam FeinsteinI never thought I would be a cross fit person… and the coaches, programming and community here have really made me into a cross fitter! Tony and the team have built a great fitness experience. The gym facilities and equipment are great. The coaches are knowledgeable, kind and very helpful with making suggestions on technique and helping you modify for safety, long-term health and skill/fitness level.p.s. I am writing this review as part of the Christmas Bingo which is a bit of good fun for nice gym give aways and also connecting with other athletes at the gym.
December 18 · Grant GutierrezGreat workouts, coaching and community. Coaches are insightful and give constructive feedback to be able to workout and stay healthy. They will modify movements and give options if I have an injury or limitation. This gym brought me my closest friends!
December 09 · Federico BorregoI started CrossFit at the tender age of 52, and Foundation was an absolutely amazing place to do it. The staff and couches are all incredibly knowledgable and welcoming, and they make everyone--regardless of age, level of fitness, or experience--feel like working out is always a win. Their programming--from the basic skills classes to the WODs--is focused both on form and strength, and I really appreciated how they were able to help me scale my workouts as I built experience. Whether you're already into CrossFit or just getting started, this is THE place to find a supportive, challenging, and inclusive home for your personal fitness growth!
