★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Escape to Yoga is my happy place :) I always leave classes feeling stronger, more peaceful and centered. The space is beautiful. The instructors really care and want to make sure it is a positive experience for everyone. I also LOVE that I can do classes online - when life gets busy with work, kids, etc, I can much more easily hop on to my computer for a class to "escape", as a commute to the studio can sometimes be a barrier to getting to my practice! The library of past classes is also great when you find yourself needing some yoga in the wee hours of the morning or just before bed. They also give lots of pose variations for different skill levels. Check out ETY if you are looking for a new yoga home!
July 19 · Andrea PingerI am only too happy to provide a glowing review for E2Y, after 5 months of membership. After almost 20 years of practicing yoga, E2Y is the first yoga studio to which I feel attached as my "Yoga Home". I had discovered it while walking by, seeing the creatively-stocked, elegantly designed gift shop / yoga equipment store at the studio's entrance. The yoga studio itself, or "Shala" is always neat, clean, well-equipped and artfully decorated, evoking a sense of peace, welcome, and orderly calm. Studio manager Jessica taught me that "Shala" is Sanskrit for "home"; per Google, it is "a gathering place for students of yoga to practice, share, experience and grow". Very appropriate.Owner, director and instructor Julie has, with her team of instructors and studio attendants, led and cultivated a welcome environment, so that students are warmly greeted upon arrival, and helped with studio blocks, mats, straps, rugs when needed. Various staff like Brittney contribute to the wonderfully artistic feel of the shop, with inspirational quotes and colorful etchings. The schedule of classes includes a adventurous diversity of yoga styles and pace of movement, provided by wise yoginis who have either completed 200+ or 500+ hours of yoga training. I have enjoyed the fast-paced Power Vinyasa classes with Laura, Charla and Lisa; the Grow Strong Hatha classes with Michele and Heather; Yoga Strong class with Jessica (who adds some Pilates style); Asana Labs and Gentle / Restorative Hatha with Denise who specializes in Iyengar, an alignment-oriented yoga style focusing on correct form; Advancing Hatha classes with Julie preparing us for hand stands; Gentle Care Hatha with Jennifer and Pamela (who makes her own yoghurt), and the blissfully relaxing Deep Stretch Yin yoga with Jennifer. After each session, I am usually inclined to just comfortably Be Present at E2Y "Shala", having energized, strengthened and stretched my body, and calmed my interior self. Once, after Yin yoga, I remember feeling astonishingly, unusually, and deeply peaceful and quiet within, which was a great joy. I was also elated when I achieved a life goal of holding a handstand without too much fear, assisted by the wall.I also love the assortment of merchandise available for purchase in the store: a colorful potpourri of crystals / stones, apparel, mats, blocks, necklaces / wrist bands / candles hand-made by some instructors, greeting cards, journals, bags and more. There is even a free-loan library of yoga books! So generous. Finally (!!!), I love the fact that the studio is located very near Symposium Coffee, which has delicious hot drinks (including alcohol if you are into that), pastries including a yummy gluten-free choc chip pumpkin spice loaf, and a rotating display of lovely art for sale, made by local artists.I was amused by the team's request to "take 25 seconds to write a review" of this Beautiful yoga studio, as I knew I could not help but spend more time on an effusive review, in great Gratitude for the Shala, yoga lifestyle, and human connections I have experienced there. Thank you, and wishing your team a new year blessed with good health, many joys in the small things, with peace and strength within. Namaste - the light in me sees and honors the light in you.

August 06 · Chehalem Insurance Associates OwnerI joined Escape to Yoga last week and have been thoroughly impressed! The instructors have been so kind and interested in specific ways they can help my body be it's best. If you're thinking about joining but don't want a full commitment, they offer an introductory package for unlimited yoga for 3 weeks. Highly recommend!
