What is worth choosing
When evaluating gyms in the Massachusetts region, Crunch Fitness in Fitchburg presents a mix of pros and cons that are important for potential members to consider. The most compelling reason to choose this gym is its overall value proposition. As one reviewer noted, the gym has "amazing equipment" and "classes for everyone." This wide variety of options, from extensive cardio machines to a jam-packed group fitness schedule, ensures that members have everything they need to stay motivated and engaged. The "No Judgments" philosophy is a powerful draw, creating an inclusive and friendly atmosphere that is often missing from other fitness centers. For those who thrive in a social setting, the gym’s community feel, with members who become "workout buddies," is a significant benefit that can help with consistency and long-term success. The accessibility features, including a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, also demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse community. However, it's essential to address the critical feedback raised by some customers, particularly regarding billing and customer service. One extensive review detailed issues with a "scammy" free trial, unexpected fees, and difficulty with membership cancellations. The mention of an annual fee and the policy of not prorating it upon cancellation is a serious point for consideration. These administrative and billing concerns are significant and potential members should read all terms and conditions carefully before signing up. The feedback about employees being "kind of rude or bothered" also points to an area for potential improvement in customer service. Despite these negative experiences, the positive review highlights that the gym is a "second home" for some members, suggesting that when the experience is good, it is truly great. Ultimately, for those in Fitchburg who prioritize a well-equipped gym with a wide variety of classes and a supportive community, Crunch Fitness can be an excellent choice. The key is to be fully informed about all fees and policies from the beginning to ensure a smooth and positive experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1You are going to be taxed if you use crunch fitness. The free trial isn't really free if you have to give your card information before you get the pass. They literally will charge you if you don't physically tell them that you don't want a membership. They seem to think that it's not an inconvenience to not be able to get inside because of no employees being there. They don't answer the phone because no one is there to answer it. They don't have a lot of machines. It's cleaner than planet fitness I'll give them that. The employees seem to be there much less than planet fitness though. The quality of employees at these two places are about the same when they are there. They are young, kind of rude or bothered when you need something from them.god forbid that you have a billing issue,.because they have no issues taking your money, or double charging but it's near impossible to get it back. Everyone shrugs and says I don't know what to do.Don't even get me started on the fees. Even if crunch was the greatest gym on the planet. The outrageous 120+ fee is ridiculous. Why not charge more money for the monthly membership rather than trying to make it out like it's cheap or kind of reasonable even though more than planet fitness black.*It's scammy to say it's 29.99 a month and then hit a person with a 120 a year fee which actually makes it out to be 40 a month which isn't nowhere worth it for this place. They also don't prorate that 120$ if you end your membership. They don't give you back 60 if you had a membership for 6 months. They take that 120. It's also not super easy to end or cancel a membership. I am almost positive that nearly everyone including myself will have at least one extra month of membership tacked on and billed. Even though you might give them 20-30 days in advance.chances are you will still get charged a last month fora gym that you aren't using.
August 17 · K KBest gym ever!!!! Amazing equipment, classes for everyone, and the staff are super helpful and friendly!! This gym has become my second home and I'm so glad I joined!
March 05 · Courtney ChisholmI’ve been a member of the Fitchburg location since it opened back in 2017, and it’s absolutely one of my favorites. One of my favorite perks of Crunch is the ability to go to multiple locations, so when I’m traveling I can still go to the gym. Crunch Fitchburg is absolutely a gem within the burg, the plaza is conveniently located and it has everything you need for an effective workout.I highly enjoy the clientele and especially love a friendly welcome to Karley and the front desk staff everytime I enter the facility. The gym community is a special one, but even better within Crunch Fitchburg. Thanks CF for having me!
March 06 · candis ziskI love this so much. I worked with Sydney the fitness manager. She is very dedicated and puts a lot of effort into her clients. If you are interested in working with a trainer definitely come check this gym out!!
July 08 · Domingo DelossantosI’ve been coming to this Crunch location for years, and it’s great for all kinds of workouts. The gym has three main areas: Cardio, Guided Machines, and Free Weights.- Cardio Area: Tons of machines like treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, and bikes.- Guided Machines: Lots of equipment to target all your muscle groups.- Free Weights: Dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, squat racks, cable machines, and even sleds. There’s a big variety of equipment, so you can always get a solid workout. In the past year, the staff and management changed, and it’s made a big difference. Dana, especially, does a great job building a sense of community. She always greets members and makes everyone feel welcome. The location is also super convenient—right in the Market Basket plaza. You can hit the gym and grab groceries afterward. The only downside is the facilities. The men’s locker room could use some fixes, like replacing broken lockers and improving the air flow, especially near the showers. It would also be nice if the water dispensers had filtered water.
