★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Joining Pilates was the Best decision for me! I've been trying really hard to exercise at the gym but it just was not drawing me in. I saw Club Pilates as I drove to the gym. I decided to try it because it seemed similar to yoga. After 3 sessions I was enjoying working out. I am overweight and was worried about looking foolish not being able to keep up. However, Molly, Carolina, and Carina are AMAZING instructors! They are supportive and helpful with each session. As a matter of fact all the staff there are helpful and supportive. Even the clients which attened classes are very supportive. I have never felt foolish or ashamed. It's been 2 months going regularly and I can see improvement in my mobility and posture. I LOVE working out weekly. Each session is different and you will NEVER get bored. If you're looking for motivation, this is the place! I highly recommend! 💜
March 23 · PattieJust started with this Club last week and I've been twice to the regular classes. I have chronic lower back pain and it's hard for me to find a workout that doesn't upset it, until now! My back gets the support it needs and I'm still getting the stretching and strengthening that I need. This location is super clean, the instructors have been great and Katie and the front desk has been wonderful answering all questions and so friendly/polite. Highly recommend!
March 07 · Katie DetroI went for the introductory Pilates Reformer class because I have a lumbar disc herniation and wanted to see if it could be the right activity for me. I forgot to bring the specific Pilates socks—partly because, due to my back condition, I first needed to make sure this was the right fit for me.As soon as I arrived, the blonde lady with glasses at the front desk didn’t welcome me or ask why I was there. Instead, the first thing she said—rather rudely—was, “Did you bring the required socks?” When I explained I had unfortunately forgotten them, she told me I was required to buy a pair from them before the class for $14.But if I’m telling you this is my first time and that I’m here because of a physical issue, the least you could do is show some kindness and flexibility instead of forcing me to purchase socks for a 30-minute intro class! At the very least, she could have said, “Unfortunately, wearing grip socks is part of our policy, but since this is an introductory class, we can lend you a pair with a deposit and collect them at the end,” or she could have let me speak with the instructor or invite me to watch the lesson at least.I left immediately due to the rude and insensitive approach. You lost potential business over a $14 pair of socks. Let’s learn the meaning of welcoming and kindness!
May 16 · Lucia MirarchiSome say age is a number or a state of mind. Although this is a great mindset, let’s be real—it’s not always that simple. Getting older comes with its fair share of struggles. I say it’s a “B” getting old.Hello, I’m Pat, a 63-year-old male. I find it important to share what I believe is a way to make age take a back seat to life. Let me start with my back story. I was a 53-year-old 335 lb male miserable in everything I did physically. Doctors handed me all the “normal” meds; I had sore knees, back, and hips, was suffering from a chronic skin disorder, and was not feeling well in general. I figured that was just how life was gonna be. Until one day at work, I had had enough and drew a RED line on my belt, vowing never to go past that line. Since 2015, I have never looked back, losing 90+ lbs and regaining control of my body. Believe me when I say there is no easy way to be healthy. It is finding a balance in life to achieve your goals. After I retired from a 37-year aviation career, I could put all my concentration on myself and my all-around health, But I still felt weak and sore. The logical solution was exercise. So I started doing what I thought were the usual things: I tried hitting the gym, lifting weights, and doing all the typical stuff you do when you want to “get strong.” But honestly? It wasn’t working. I felt like I was fighting against my body, causing more harm instead of working with it. I quickly learned this was not helping because I honestly did not know what I was doing. Enter a friend and co-worker who had started Pilates and had been going for some time. He encouraged me to try it, saying it made a massive difference in how he felt.Eventually, I caved and went to an intro class at Club Pilates Plainfield. And man, I wish I had done it sooner.Pilates isn’t about lifting the heaviest weight or pushing yourself until you can’t move the next day. It’s about building strength the right way—working with your body instead of against it. It’s controlled, balanced, and surprisingly tough without being brutal on your joints. I’m not saying it’s easy—trust me, I’ve had my fair share of sore muscles—but it’s the right kind of work, Physical Therapy on Steroids.I’ve been at it for seven months now, and I feel better than I did in my 50s. I move better. I’m not stiff and creaky all the time. And the best part? I actually look forward to it, giving motivation and craving more. The studio itself is solid—no gym bros, no intimidation. It's just a bunch of people—different ages, different fitness levels—all working toward the same goal: feeling better. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and sympathetic to your individual needs, and the people in class actually support each other. It’s not about competition; it’s a community and about getting your body to a place where you can enjoy life again.
March 13 · Patrick MarshThe best thing I’ve did ever! Been doing it for a full year since Club Pilates (Plainfield) has opened I recommend this to everyone especially if you want to get into shape and straighten your posture
