★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I really love coming to this gym. It's the first time I've been a member of a gym that is ultra-friendly, hygienic, and caring - all at once.I first joined toward the end of the pandemic and was impressed by the amount of antiseptic wipes on hand ( even til today) and attention to a clean environment & maintained equipment.Every time I enter, I'm greeted with a smile by the front desk and/ or Ron, the manager. The main reason I love the gym is my Thrive workouts. I love going to Jake. He is a great trainer, who is consistently attentive to everyone in the group, always enthusiastic & social without evading his responsibility to ensure everyone is working out properly. In fact, my neighbor and I both go to Jake, and we both agreed that if he left - we might not continue with Thrive. We love the program, but Jake just really makes everyone feel.included, and acknowledged by hearing our concerns about joint issues, etc. On top of that, he's witty and caring yet administers 'tough love' when needed. So, I'm a happy camper. I'm also a business owner, and I'd be proud of the staff at this location and having Jake on board at Thrive.Management has done a good job at making members feel welcome - and it shows.
July 19 · monique masonThis is a great gym. It’s a little compact due to being in old city but on the upside, they fit an impressive amount of equipment and optimize the space well. It has pretty much all equipment I’d want, dumbbells go pretty high, plates are very well stocked, the lockers have locks built in, there is a sauna, they have free towels, etc. the weights are frequently reorganized so things are not cluttered. One of the best gyms I’ve attended probably
June 16 · Jacob ElderStaff is super helpful! When I first signed up I didn't come for a couple weeks after so I forgot a few things about the gym and staff quickly showed me everything right away when I came back in! Everyone minds their own business there which I totally love. Very very clean environment also.
August 12 · The Dog AlleyCity Fitness has such a great environment! The gym smells clean, the people are friendly, and the staff is truly amazing. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. So glad I joined!
July 29 · simmonscleaningcompanyI used to like city fitness- have left and returned 3 times and I enjoy the classes. However, I pay for access to the studio classes so I use the app A LOT. I have not been able to sign up for classes via the app for almost 2 months now. Multiple in person chats and requests to resolve this, but nothing. I mentioned to the staff member that I'm moving out of state, how much notice do I give for cancellation- big mistake on my part because they just STOPPED trying to fix my app problem- even though I'm still paying for studio classes for 2 more months.About 2 weeks after I requested cancellation, I call in to schedule a class because the app said 2 spaces were available but apparently the app no longer shows accurate availability either! The woman who answered the phone said it looked like my membership was canceled, however; I still have about 2 weeks of access until the end of May when the cancellation is set to activate. And City Fitness still won't waive my $100 cancellation fee. I haven’t had access to the classes I pay for and they wouldn’t fix the problem. If I ever move back to the area, I’ll joining a different gym.shout out to Amber the Pilates instructor tho! She’s the reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 - city fitness does not care about their members. Amber- you should start your own and have virtual classes/memberships so I can join from afar!
