★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been a member at Brooklyn Athletic Club for the past year and it’s been the best gym I’ve had since living in New York for the past 7 years. If you’re a weightlifter that appreciates no frills, good machines, and an open gym which is rarely busy enough that you need to wait for anything, Brooklyn athletic club is for you! The staff over the past year have also been extremely friendly, allowing for easy pauses of your membership for months you’re traveling outside of New York. I would highly recommend BAC!
March 26 · Kyle GoodrichI was apart of this gym for the better part of the year - although this gym is a great option for the area. For the equipment they have (especially machines), it is very underwhelming. There are a ton of power racks, an ab room, saunas (which work about 70% of the time), and plenty of weights. I will say, this gym is NEVER packed which is such a nice perk for a gym in the area. Equipment is new and very clean. I love this gym, just wish they had a bit more in terms of machines (specifically cables).
January 05 · Richard ThomasLove this space. Always have access to equipment and it doesn’t get crowded :)
May 09 · Gris OssesThis gym is full on in the best sense. They have classes for a wide range of fitness levels. They have equipment and space for serious lifters and beginner gym goers. As a transgender person I wasn’t sure how comfortable I would be going to this gym. I’ve been coming for a year now and feeling pretty at home and most recently decided to learn how to weight lift with John who is a super good trainer. I highly recommend this gym, its clean and professional which is essential.
August 18 · Lu YimThis is one of the best gyms in the city hands down. The facilities are new and well maintained, and there's plenty of equipment, but that's not what makes it stand out. What makes this THE gym to join if you're looking is the trainers and group training classes. Whether your goal is to lose weight or get buff or work through an injury the staff and the classes here will make that happen. Join!
