Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Training School Introduce
For residents and dedicated practitioners across Massachusetts, Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Training School offers a unique and specialized approach to yoga that goes far beyond a typical studio class. Located in the picturesque town of Northampton, this establishment serves not only as a local yoga studio but, more significantly, as a globally recognized training institution for aspiring and seasoned yoga professionals. Their core mission is centered on the transformative power of Yoga Therapy—the application of yoga practices to help individuals manage and alleviate symptoms of physical and mental health issues.
Founded by Brandt Passalacqua, a respected figure in the field, the school distinguishes itself through a commitment to high-quality, comprehensive education and a strong sense of community, or sangha. This is not simply a place to drop in for a quick Vinyasa class; it is a center for deep learning, therapeutic application, and personal evolution. The school expertly blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with practical, real-world application, integrating modern understanding of anatomy, physiology, and mental health into its curriculum. Whether you are seeking profound one-on-one healing through private sessions or aiming to become a certified Yoga Therapist, Breathing Deeply provides a supportive, knowledgeable environment to achieve your goals.
Their reputation is built on the thoughtful design of their programs. While rooted in their Western Massachusetts location, the curriculum is structured to be largely accessible online, making it feasible for busy professionals, like the one quoted in a review, to progress at their own pace. Yet, the learning environment remains highly interactive and engaging, ensuring that students feel fully prepared and supported to work with clients on a wide range of conditions, from physical pain to emotional and mental health challenges. It truly operates as both a leading School and a Yoga Studio dedicated to the highest standards of therapeutic practice.

For anyone in Massachusetts seeking to go deeper than standard yoga instruction—either for personal healing or for a professional career change—Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy Training School is unequivocally worth choosing for several compelling reasons. It stands out in the New England area as a leader in therapeutic yoga education and practice.
First, the school is founded on Brandt Passalacqua’s vast clinical experience and profound personal journey. His ability to distill complex ancient concepts into accessible, practical, and often humorous teachings is a crucial factor in the school’s success and the confidence of its graduates. As highlighted in customer reviews, his teaching style and availability are major drawcards, providing a level of connection and clarity often missing in large institutions.

This structure has made the path to becoming a certified Yoga Therapist a realistic goal for yoga teachers with long-standing careers who need to schedule around their existing commitments.
Finally, choosing Breathing Deeply means gaining a realistic and applicable skill set that prepares you to work effectively with clients facing a myriad of conditions, from physical issues like chronic back pain and injury recovery to mental health issues like anxiety and depression. The program is designed for real-world application, backed by IAYT accreditation, which translates into professional credibility and the confidence to truly help others. For those in Massachusetts ready to take the next, most profound step in their yoga journey, Breathing Deeply offers the supportive community, the flexibility, and the high-quality, ethical education required to serve at a higher level and co-create a new paradigm in wellness.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Excellent school. I appreciate being able to learn both about mental health, which has been my main focus, and physical issues. The school is online, which makes it possible for me to do the course. And it is also thoughtfully designed, with multiple weekly live interactive zoom calls, and week long interactive zoom retreats. The community is friendly, welcoming and it creates a good learning environment. The TAs, Lisa and Melissa, are very supportive, knowledgeable, encouraging and help guide you through the course material and homework. Brandt has a good sense of humor, is available multiple times a week for questions and explains things in a good way. I appreciate his teaching style, as well as the ongoing support. I feel prepared and supported as I continue to work with clients and grow as a yoga therapist.
May 01 · Janine MurphyI've been a yoga teacher for over 20 years, but I wanted to take my love and belief in yoga a step further, to be more helpful to those who have issues that can best be addressed one-on-one; to be able to use my background to help others more profoundly. I spent some time carefully looking at various Yoga Therapy training programs, from university offerings where one could get an academic degree in YT, (do I really need another degree?) to other "quick and dirty" certification programs, (some seemed kind of sketchy in terms of speed or suspiciously low cost) - and after viewing some of Brandt Passalacqua's online videos and surveying their materials and free meditation sessions, I settled on Breathing Deeply as the program that has proven to be a good fit for me. Because it is mostly online and one can progress at their own speed, there is a lot of flexibility with scheduling; and the week-long online retreats are especially wonderful as there is a true sangha of like-minded folks working as colleagues to make the world better together with YT. Students here are also carefully guided along by exceptional Teaching Assistants and nicely developed materials. I whole-heartedly endorse the Breathing Deeply programs.
May 01 · Robert SwedbergThe Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy has been a solid learning experience for me. I completed the Yoga Therapy Foundations course in 2022, and feel confident now, practicing with clients. I highly recommend!
May 01 · Steph McCrearyI found this community one year ago. I am encouraged to continue to grow, heal and practice my own self care through yoga therapy methods. So very grateful for this opportunity to also learn how to help others using this model. Love love 💚💚
May 01 · Kary OttGreat online program that offers multiple weekly interactive Q&A's, self paced short video classes, week long retreats, and ongoing access to support for questions about your practice even after graduation.
