★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is my favorite Pilates studio in the city!!Sarah O, Sarah A, and Steven are great instructors. They’re super encouraging for beginners and I appreciate that every class/workout is different. I came in as a complete newbie (and tbh kind of intimidated by Pilates) but this studio and their instructors are so welcoming and helpful. Also the facility is very clean.
August 27 · Jessica ZAmazing hiit focused pilates! Super intense workout that will show you results after 5-10 classes. Instructors and patrons are both super sweet. I would especially recommend Stephen, Meg and Sana for beginner classes, they are super informative with good energy and help you with your form. If you do the intro class offer, you will definitely get addicted and purchase a membership.
June 20 · Natalie W.An unpretentious and welcoming studio!! Have been coming to this studio consistently for 5+ years and feel stronger after every class. The instructors are kind, and the classes allow for you to level up or down depending on your experience. Grateful to have this Pilates studio in the haight!
June 22 · Allison JamesI first went here to try out something new and it was highly rated in Class Pass. I took Sarah A.’s Sunday class at 2pm and OMG it was a great workout! Sarah A. is great at giving swift, detailed instructions while also being motivational as you side eye her for saying the next move. Sarah A. and all the front desk staff are always friendly and easy to talk to. After the first interaction with Sarah A., I keep coming back to her classes despite the muscle soreness I get afterwards. Haha would highly recommend!
June 19 · Yvonne BenaventeBodyRok is my favorite place to work out, and I particularly enjoy attending classes at the Height Street studio. It’s very conveniently located and you can’t really find other comparable gyms/workout studios in the neighborhood. It’s also close to many different bus lines and ~10 mins from the N.On weekdays, they offer 10+ classes/day, so you can really make it work for your schedule. I really like the music and the lights and just being able to listen to the instructor and not have to plan out a routine for myself. Each day focuses on a different muscle group, so the same class is offered throughout the day (with some variation according to instructors) no matter if you’re going at 7:30 am or 7:30 pm. This also makes it easy to hop between studios between days depending on where you are!I think the key to getting the most out of it is finding an instructor whose style and music taste you like and trying to attend their classes more regularly. If you’re new, the instructors do a good job at explaining the machine and offering modifications to you, which makes it less intimidating. There can be a bit of a learning curve with the names of the moves but once you start recognizing those, it gets way easier! I think some people are afraid of the difficulty level, and while the classes are challenging, you can modify any move. I’m 300+ classes in and take modifications all the time - it’s about listening to your body and focusing on your breath!Sometimes the classes book out pretty far in advance, but i have been lucky with some last minute bookings and getting off of the waitlist. I think there’s only once or twice in the past 2 years of going that I’ve shown up while waitlisted and not gotten in (but these were at other studios in the city like FiDi or Polk)I wish i could give 4.5/5 stars because I would deduct half a star because the Haight studio machines are so close to each other that it’s hard to walk around / navigate. Even removing one machine would allow for better spacing, but I suppose the number of machines in each studio is informed by studio economics and needing to maximize attendance.Bonus: Tony’s pizza after class never misses
