★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Majority of the gyms in Brooklyn are pretty good, but eventually I would come across one that's "meh..." and unfortunately it's this one. Right off the bat, WiFi connection is absolutely bad. Couldn't connect to my internet radio at all so I had to deal with whatever music was playing in the gym and I just couldn't deal with it longer than I should. Pretty much took me out of my workout. Half of the gym was filled with cardio machines so that meant a very limited amount of strength training machines which thankfully weren't completely filled but could be organized a lot better. The other worst part of my visit was the locker rooms. Good lord, that place STANK! The smell of uncleaned toilets permeated through the entire locker room and I had to rush out as soon as I got dressed up to leave. Yeah, this place ain't it. I recommend the Bed Stuy location a quarter mile East of this gym.

As others have stated, there’s no cell service downstairs so you must connect to the open WiFi network which can be spotty at times. Also, the men’s locker room floor is typically wet. I’m not sure why it remains that way. Overall nice staff and fairly clean.
July 30 · Rais MarediaThe least attentive & proactive staff in the world! They don’t do things until they’re asked or told to. NO INITIATIVE! And even then it takes mad long for things to get done. I like the staff as people, but respectfully they’re terrible at their jobs. They sit around talking for the most part to themselves & to guests instead of staying on top of tasks. Bikes have been wobbly for over a year now, I’ve complained several times & still nothing. Ceiling is always leaking! Plumbing in the gym sucks since it’s in the basement of a cheaply built gentrified apartment building. This review has been a long time coming. I’ve been a guest here for 2-3 years & it just gets worse and worse. Equipment is always breaking. It’s time for newer equipment. I heard the upper management/owners have changed hands. Get it together…
August 08 · Ian MaineculfSafety concern - at 9:30pm on August 22nd, lights were turned off suddenly. Only the hanging lights were left on. Which made the gym very dark. When you turn off lights suddenly during a workout, it is disorienting and can be the cause of injury. Another gym did this years ago, and a woman lost her footing on a treadmill and sued that gym for injury. Not only does turning off lights create a safety concern and make it harder to see, you are creating a unwelcoming environment for your members because it is the equivalent of telling them to “leave”. This is underlying hostile behavior and the manager needs to coach their staff on this and find out who closed on August 22nd. I am just about sure the manager is in on it and doesn’t care either. I will be escalating this to corporate to make sure it is reported and can be investigated by your Loss Prevention department. Because God forbid, someone gets injured.
August 22 · Matthew ScottI’m here semi frequently and it’s a solid gym. The workers are super hospitable and clean, no matter who’s at the front. Yes it gets busy, and yes it could use more equipment, but that’s not a direct reflection of the people working here. An added bonus is that most of the gym goers are also very polite. It’s a good environment to work out to.
