★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a bad experience doing crossfit for the very first time, at Ballard Crossfit. The “instructor” (if you could call her that) was not helpful at all and barely paid attentionto me, which was upsetting because, again, I had never done crossfit before.I had to rely on asking those around me what I was supposed to do or what a workout was, because the instructor was too busy chatting with people. The people here are cool, but if you’re a beginner going solo, I would NOT recommend coming here
August 16 · Nicholas Hansen-FeruchI’ve always wanted to try CrossFit but was hesitant, fearing I might hurt myself. However, I’m glad I finally took the plunge and went to Ballard CrossFit. They were incredibly welcoming! Most of the coaches focus on form, which I really appreciate. They consistently correct my form and reassure me that it will improve over time. The community here is fun and not stuffy like other gyms. It’s quite entertaining and often funny. They even allow kids and dogs, making it even more welcoming. The workouts can be brutal at times, but not always. If you’re nervous about CrossFit, give this place a try!
September 21 · HollyHad a great time attending this gym! The coaches were friendly, knowledgeable, and were extremely helpful with pushing me to what my body could handle. I was sad to leave Ballard CrossFit when I moved. Would recommend to anyone!
January 11 · Heidi PerkinsExcellent Crossfit gym! The trainers and gym owner were super friendly and helpful. They definitely accommodate members of varying skill levels. I've seen some serious Olympic lifting at the same time as some introductory and intermediate classes. It was also a very family friendly location. People have brought their small children and dogs to the gym! It's a great fit for beginners and seasoned competitors alike.
April 09 · Michael JeterThe coaches and crossfitters at this gym make it a great balance between excellent fitness progression and strong community connection. As I walked up to what was clearly a bustling gym, both the head coach as well as the gym owner walked out and welcomed me. Joining one of their classes shortly after, I was impressed by their dedication to teaching proper form, their encouragement for each athlete to challenge themselves in a safe and sustainable way, and their facilitation for class members to connect and support one another. So great to work out in this authentic environment-- I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Seattle.
