What Is Worth Choosing
For families in the Woodbridge, Virginia, area, choosing a sports complex is about more than just finding a place to play. It's about finding a place that aligns with your family's values and helps your children develop into well-rounded individuals. The Youth Sports Virginia Training Center is a premier choice for several key reasons. Firstly, its specialization in gymnastics and tumbling provides a focused and expert-level experience that a general sports complex might not be able to offer. This concentrated approach ensures that the coaches are highly skilled and the equipment is perfectly suited for the sport, providing a safer and more effective learning environment.
Secondly, the community and culture of the center are highly praised. As one parent noted, the staff is "very nice and encouraging," which is a crucial factor when trusting a facility with your children's development. This supportive atmosphere helps children not only improve their physical skills but also feel good about themselves. The fact that a parent's three-year-old son is also starting classes speaks volumes about the trust and positive experience the family has had over the years. This loyalty and satisfaction from returning families are a strong testament to the center's quality.
While some parents might feel the initial instruction in beginner classes could be more involved, the overall consensus is that the center gets results. The review highlighting a daughter's progression from a beginner to a competitive team winning medals demonstrates the effectiveness of the training. This long-term growth and success are what many parents are looking for—a place where their child can start small and continue to grow and be challenged. The combination of structured programs, positive coaching, and a focus on both recreational fun and competitive excellence makes Youth Sports Virginia a compelling choice for any family looking to invest in their child's physical and personal development in the Woodbridge community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our daughter is 8 years old she has been going to Youth Sports for the last 3 years. She has moved through the various practice teams and started her first year on the competition XCEL team this past September. We have personally watched our daughter grow from knowing nothing about gymnastics to being on a team and winning various medals at competitions. We really love what Youth Sports has done to help our daughter grow as a gymnast and as a person in general. Everyone at the gym is very nice and encouraging. We started our 3 year old son as well in January and hope to watch him grow with Youth Sports as well. Coach Shay and Coach Jasmine have been especially encouraging. Coach Mindy is a pro and gets the results out of the children.
February 27 · Michael UllmannMy girls do like this place but not for gymnastics reasons but for the friends they made. Beginner girls instructors don’t seem to care about what kids are doing. Didn’t see involvement or adjustments being made when kids were making mistakes they just let it play out and continue to the next kid kinda disappointed
December 06 · Ivan PaulinoThe operation needs an upgrade. My kid was referred twice to move from beginners to intermediate class.I left my name and phone number at the front desk on several occasions to be alerted when a time slot opened up. During one of my regular weekly checks in, I found out that they had a slot open (did not get the call). Anyway, I sign my kid up for the long awaited intermediate class and was told she could start on the 29th. Guess what, she was kicked out of class because the payment was for the month of May. The management team needs to be on the same page about their operation. I wasted a day and went home with a disappointed kid. Do better.UPDATE: I received a call from the owner, who apologized and made it right. Needless to say my kid likes the coaches and does not want to move gyms. So we’re there every week for 2 hours. Thank you.
September 24 · Brenda ByrdI'd give zero stars if I could. My experience with this place was disheartening to say the least. I called ahead to inquire about the gyms ability to accommodate kids with ADHD. I spoke to Mindy about a month ago and more recently spoke to another worker to schedule a visit. During both calls I disclosed the situation and both times I was told, it's ok. We attended the trial class today and were not received in a welcoming way. My conversation with Mindy was not pleasant and when filling out the release form the man at the front desk was rude. I ended up pulling my child from the session and leaving. It's unfortunate. If a parent is thoughtful enough to call ahead and have a personal conversation about their child, please be kind enough to let them know you cannot accommodate their child in a respectful way.
April 09 · Jakia ChalmersWe took our 4 year old to try out the gymnastics for toddlers program here and I want to start off by saying that my daughter left in tears. The 2 instructors were very young(highly school age) and looked very bored and unhappy. This was my daughter’s very first time so there was no compassion or praise given to any of the young kids there. There were 15 kids in the class with 2 instructors. They initially told us it was a 6:1 ratio. For us being first timers we would have figured there would be some kind of guidance from start to finish. We had to figure our way thru this process. Very disappointed because we were referred by a friend. The place isn’t very big so get there early or you will be standing the whole time. Don’t forget a stadium chair because the parents sit on bleachers. Very disappointed with my experience. We will try somewhere else that is more professional and organized with their classes and teaching methods.
